  1. That was actually a little week Scott, but pretty much what I expect from "The Red (sorta maroonish) Headed Step Child", aka, "The Flying Giraffe" Girafee.jpg

The part that was never publicized,is that she had to be rushed to the hospital for a tetanus vaccination after touching that old Chevy...lol

Then straight to the courthouse for that restraining order against Jeff that most of us already have......It wouldn't be so creepy if you weren't constantly drooling and rubbing your hands together when you talk to the Ladies Jeff.

Some "Glamour Shots" of Jeff at last year's Meltdown Drags "After Party",where things got a little out of hand.....

    Big Jim:
That Wickersham Ford car is one of my favorites. It was one of the ones originally delivered with a 427 Hi Riser when there was initially a shortage of 427 SOHC motors.I think they stuck with the Hi Riser the entire time they ran the car though.

That's a project for next year.......;)

Clester Andrews ,the driver of the Wickersham car died a couple of years ago and I was in the process of copying his pictures and didn't get to finish. Before the mustang he drove a lightweight and a thunderbolt

Scott that Wickersham Mustang does look pretty badass...!
I think Jeff's enjoying taunting you Scott! He must think it's in the bag!?! He seems pretty confident, he must have something in his bag of tricks...! Will see how that lowly 289 holds up against his SBC...!
Yeah it's good you have a Back Up Plan for 2016 Meltdown! Like the saying go's, don't bring a Knife to a Gunfight...!

Oh the new car won't be the backup plan,it's going to be the awe-inspiring,death from above, time machine, taking you straight back to '65,making the chivvies and hemispheres hide under the bed shivering and asking "is that thing gone yet!?!?Is it safe to come out now...????" Contraption of shock and awe.....With a really nice paint job.lol!
If I manage to get it finished up in time it will be the A/FX car of DOOM.
    More details at 11.
Back to you with the weather,Jim!:D

    Oh,and Jim:
Just make sure your trigger finger is ready on the camera, cause I now have enough cam and gear to drive right around that old chivvie like it's tied to a tree;)

Old Jeff ain't dealing with a stock 289 with a set of headers any more:D
The Dearborn X Garage is gonna be the 'House of Doom" for ol Jeffro.;)

Danny G, let's see some pics of that bad boy...!
With each passing day we're losing these guys that made Drag Racing so great back in the day! That's what's so great about the Meltdown! You can bring an old timer to it & they can feel like there back in the 60's & reliving there youth again, for the weekend!

I'm back on track for doing an A/FX clone after crawling all over the Gas Ronda car a few weeks ago.
Wrenchbender was nice enough to scout out a nice dry Missouri roller for me,and after a talk with Ric's pal Robert Pond yesterday,I was able to lay a few of my concerns about valve train issues to rest.

The new car will be basically as accurate a clone of the original 11 65 A/FX cars as possible, and once construction is underway I will speak to Dick Brannan again about cloning his "Goldfinger" car.If he is not on board, then I will speak to Phil Bonner jr about cloning the Daddy Warbucks car,or do a Lakeshore Shaker II.....Undecided yet.

All I know is,when I sat in that car up in Rochester,my purpose in life became very, very clear.:D

Remember how fragile I can be emotionally James.....;)

How are the mighty Mopar and the Fine 409
    Coming along?

I really wanna see you get that 409 car running like I know you can.....If you could make that Ol Mopar dip into the twelves with two different cylinder heads on it,then I KNOW you can make some serious steam with that W motor!:)

I dunno Jim.I think that Tickety Boo car of Norb's is gonna be the one to watch this year.
It's a pretty well sorted out car with a ton of history and a tried and true sort of drive train package that has served him well.

Maybe I can sneak a set of barbells into his trunk when he's not looking, and race him while he's carrying around 500 extra pounds...?:D

    BAAAHHAHAAAAAAA!!!!!

Now that's some good shit right there!:D

Can't wait for this year's Meltdown.

With the night racing it's going to give us a lot more time to get runs in,so grudge racing will be running rampant this year...:)
I missed out on running that really cool two lane 55 last year, and a bunch of other cars because I was too busy screwing around in the swap meet, fixing my clutch linkage that fell apart like Forrest Gump's leg braces,or just walking around gawking at cars and talking to a bunch of my Heroes from my younger days, many of whom have now become good friends.
I have a REALLY good feeling bout this year....This going to be more fun than anything I can imagine that doesn't involve strippers,a couple midgets,a trampoline,a 45 gallon drum of Mazola, and a bunch of tequila!:D

Well Scott not much happening yet besides I do my best work in a shorter time frame.
You talk about miss matched heads the engine that was in the 62 had miss matched heads and the engine I but together for it had a matched set must be why my first outing was such a flop maybe I need them for my lopsided tuning skill.

The Tasca Ford A/FX car is being restored right now.:)
After Tasca was done with it it ran as the Sam Auxier jr "Bowani" car.One of the prettiest A/FX'ers ever,in my opinion.:)
