I'm a little confused here. First I want to say I love your RPU. It is just an honest strait forward hot rod. What I am confused about is under your avatar it says you are from New Zealand yet the license plate is from California USA. I am confused and I'd like to help you if you live in Ca. but if your down under I can't help.

  2. Yes you are right Gary, Jeremy lives down Carterton way New Zealand and if you look at a map of NZ you will find Carterton slightly up on the east coast side of the North Island up and over the " Hill " from the Wellington area. With our exchange rate being very good against the American dollar in the last few years we have had a great influx of choice American Tin so that explains the left hook steering and number plate.
I must ask though Jeremy if you imported the '27 yourself or did you purchase it here in NZ ?

Thanks whip I'll have to get a world map. With so many HAMB friends all over the world I need to see where they live.
Will Jeremy have to move the steering over to the right or can he leave it.

  4. Now I wonder if that is the '27 that the late Shorty imported but his had a hemi in it I believe but you may of brought it minus the engine gearbox.

  5. No Gary due to the age of the car he doesn't have to convert it to right hand drive. It will have to be certified to our latest standards to be registered and have a warrant of fitness.
If you don't have google earth on your computa may I suggest you download it as I find it absolutely brilliant and have even " Visited " Chips home by viewing street view on Google earth and seen the T sitting in his drive way.

Hopefully you didn't catch me walking naked in the back yard! In the heat of the summer time, it's been known to happen...

Gary must have got it straightened out, I can't see his address when I look at the map.
I hope everyone adds their locations to the map, it will be fun seeing all of the different locations. Thanks Kiwi Glenn for doing this.

  12. Hopefully he did! He can sell the pics to TMZ to fund the best T Bucket part! ;-)

  22. Once when I was younger and dumber, I went to a clairvoyant for nothing other then to see how true they can be. Well this woman told me that I should of been a Police Officer as I was very honest and that I would of worked my way up the ladder very smartly due to my ability to question things and investigate thoroughly so all you guys can stop worrying now, I'm not a stalker, just a******* nosey Kiwi.... Oh, and I have never wanted to be a cop either but enjoy looking into maps etc to get the lay of the land so to speak. I have found Goggle Earth to be very interesting due to being able to go into street view and actual check out the old buildings etc in some of the places mentioned here and other sites.

  23. Now I do like the way those front brakes are tucked into the rims as I have noticed those who use the pretend false ones have the issue of then sticking out to far. JMHO.

Tim--I forgot....Is your Steel Stuff a Touring front half? I would trade my real Roadster parts for those to match the Shannon T. Hey--Jalopy 45--maybe we can trade and you can get my Roadster bits. They need work, though....

    MMMMMMMMMM, Gary's T:):):):):):):):)
If you click on the address below my user name it will take you to that town/city on Coogle Earth. Try it, its fun !!
Mark, you are correct, it did have a 241 Red Ram Hemi and I got it less motor box and wires off Shorty Stinson. I can keep it as is in NZ if I can prove it was a real car in the States.
    JW:D
Edit. Gary, I got the plates on our auction site here(trade me) for $25 , they came of a 68 Camaro. I can get NZ plates to match those and run them.

    Kiwi Paul,
It is the front half of a T touring, plus an A tailgate. The passenger side is pretty rough, but everything else is in great shape. I just get so confused with what I want haha. If I do another T, it will either be a T roadster or T bucket, flathead powered with T5, wide 5's, blackwalls, and ideally a quickchange. I realllllyyyy want to do something like that, but an A roadster sounds pretty fun, too. Maybe roadster panels for touring panels is a good idea, and maybe a 3 way trade with jalopy45. Let's all think about what we want and what we each have to offer haha. I'm open to ideas.

Gary, glad you got your stuff figured out. I'll delete all my cluttered posts as well.

  28. Now that is a neat trick Jeremy, do tell how you do that please. I didn't realise how close to Masterton you are. I have only passed down Highway 2 twice in my life and never stopped there so, yes, will have to get the T done so that when Mum goes, I will be able to travel and catch up with friends.

  29. Ignore that last request Jeremy, I have had a play and worked it out, thanks for that though. While still off topic , can somebody explain what the trophy points system is about on here and what does it mean ?
