Came home today and UPS had delivered an original dropped headlight bar, and some new old repro stock running boards from the V8 shop that I got from fellow HAMB member @383deuce Thanks Dennis!

Hope ya liked the running boards....I think they are some of the best out there as I recall it took me forever to make up my mind on what ones to buy. Then never used them....

Sorry to correct you, Larry says; patiently waiting for pictures. That's almost end a coined sentence! [emoji41]

I know there is a word for this, ( and the word is NOT smart@ss!) they call it the same fancy upscale words, as people do when one says; Army intelligence. [emoji15]

He is not patience, he's more like "rubber ducking" [emoji41][emoji12]

Progress slowed a little. I made a little inspection cover for the fuel sendor. The body is snugged down and will need a little shimming to raise the fronts of the doors.

Made a throttle / return spring / fuel distribution block today. I thought about a mechanical rod to the rear carb, but decided on a cable operated. The cable would have been too short to pull from the rear, so I decided to pull from the front carb.

Made a card stock template , then used a bandsaw and die grinder to finish it off.

The fuel block is centered on the carbs inlets. I'll plug two of the holes, and use two. I think this is an eelco piece, but I'm not sure.

Small details to brackets like that really make a quality build. Great job!

Finally decided on tire size. In 1960 it had 5.90-15 and 8.90-15's whitewalls. I ordered BF Goodrich Silvertown Bias Plys, 5.90-15's front and 820.-15's on the rear with narrower 2.5" wide whitewalls. The rears wheels are reversed, so the tires will be close to the fenders, but it will have a 60's rake too. I think it's going to work.......we'll see....I like the sidewall "piecrust" on the silvertown tires
Should look similar to this, minus the trim rings

Since I started the build I have been keeping my eyes open for a nice right rear fender as mine is pretty roached, and the car should have better, and I really wanted to stay away from repro's. Finding one has been tough, two weekends ago I checked out two pairs locally that were 9's but I had good pictures from a member that were 10's sent to me last fall. So I contacted him, there still available , and I'll be making a little 1000 mile round trip to pick them up. I Will post pics!

Surprised to see this when I got home. Ordered from Coker Monday afternoon, delivered Wednesday. And the Alliance discount was 11%. That's great service.

That was a long night and day! After nearly a 1200 mile round trip to Michigan I came home with this super nice pair of fenders. The wire beads are perfect as are the duckbills.
Don also had a really nice original bumper with some minor pits.
I also picked up the more drop is for a friend.

    Thanks Don!
