LOL! Sell it on eBay like that lady who had a picture of the Virgin Mary on her grilled cheese sandwich. She made $30,000 for that alone, so I'm sure your car could do much better. :D

On second thought it's the later Elvis with the receeding hairline. A grilled cheese sandwich might be worth more!

  3. I see James Brown... or maybe it's Richard Prior (before the fire)...

PEE VEE~ All is right with the world, now that you've saved that car. Good goin', man.

I would just stash it untill i could build it, Its kinda like my 31 roadster body, could sell it for some good $$$ but **** when you gonna find another one . You got a really great find and if you can just hang onto it untill you can do sumthing with it .

That's a 35-36 front axle and wishbone ***embly. Won't "bolt" into the 34 frame in the stock manner.

I found the axel in the bushes above the 34. Was hopeing that was the front end for it. Good find anyway. Are 35 -36 swept back like that or is it bent ? Looks the same on both sides.

That is awesome. Congrats and thankyou for posting this followup to your "look what I found" post. I get tired of reading the beginnings of things on the hamb with no followups! Its like only being allowed to watch the first 15 mins of a movie!

Gee, look in those bushes closer. With your luck, maybe you'll find a 36 3 window coupe to go with the axle!

When viewed from directly above, the axle should be flat. All the bores should be in the same plane.

Squablow has good wisdom here. You will make as much by doing his plan, than you would just trying to build it yourself and selling it.

Also, that does look more solid than what i was expecting to see and thanks for the updated pics, nice to see a follow-through.

Thanks for the update! Reminds me of a 1931 Oakland I pulled up a hillside this spring, only the Oakland fell apart and made it to the top in two large lumps. Now for the free advice. Clean it up get all the loose debris out of it, oil up the hinges and enjoy it, take lots of photos, it will only look like this once. On New Years Day look at it real well and tell yourself what you'd sell it for AS IS. Could you afford to finish the build and make the AS IS sale price in profit? Upgrading ones house and garage takes time & money, this car might help you get there sooner. Good luck!:)

I was curious to how your story would turn out. Great score and good luck. You'll figure out what you need to do with it. Your story is neat and it would be great to keep it. :D

rusty: Doesn't it make you wonder what ever became of the car? A pretty saveable piece at that. I figure its either sitting in the same place or has been sold. Apparently didn't get built or someone would be showing it off. Tim

Exactly, I would like to here what happened to it.

  26. After nine years, it'd be great to hear what became of it. At least its not like the latest thread where the OP stopped posting, and didn't get the car.

Pee Vee was last here in October last year.
