WOW!! that has to be one of the best altered wheel base cars I have seen, great job. Very well done. What brand and size are the front tires?

  3. In the interest of furthering the breed, you should show pics of the other cars you and your dad built... I used to work with him at "Westfield" when he built the 62 Plymouth Savoy. Tell him Jason says "hi" and I hope to see him this summer sometime.
    Awesome work from you guys!

    Thanks for sharing!

  5. that car turned out great. i have not been to this thread in a while. i posted some time ago about the front springs for these cars. my main point is to not use the original front springs.they make it very hard to get the full ten inches due to the long front segment. and they are very heavy. to lighten the front even more regular light weight disc brakes for a 62-65 b-body bolt right on the a-100 spindles. if you start to pull some wheelies you may have to remove some spring off the front. you need to have a soft landing. if you look at most of the hardtops from the day examine closely the gap of the door.and the area about where the door handle meets the rear quarter. you will see most of the cars are bent. mr norms is a good example. mine bent to. but thats what they did. I'm just mentioning this so you don't mess up all that great body work. it takes time to get the right spring combo for your car. the first time the jakes car was out since the sixties i pulled a huge wheelie when it came down it was like a pogo stick. the end result was a bent axle the motor mounts tore off the frame and the shocks and mounts were destroyed but i still ran high tens. we didn't know all that stuff was broke until we got back to the pits. i have it all on video it was wild. be careful they are cool cars but they can bite you and again nice car

Excellent build - you nailed it!! Love those A.W. Mopars.
Saw my first ones at the Great Bend drags in the late 60's. Have a few old pics somewhere...

Man, that is awesome. I have a 64 Fury with relocated springs & a narrowed Dana. The quarters are shot (rusty) but the rest of the car is pretty solid. I'm into a couple of other projects at the moment but I think it would be great to go altered wheelbase with it. It's on my to do list!

I just joined the club too. I'm trying to find some information on this one I just got. It used to run an injected 426 hemi he said. Now it's got a 440. The vinyl top is funny.
