You know Jalopy I don't think this thread is about copying. Although mine is a pretty close Kookie Kar Kopy. In fact I've overheard more than one person say "that's the Kookie Kar painted red". I think what Chip is doing is building a T Bucket in good taste. Really by now it's all been done and we can just pull the best parts from the best ones and leave out the ugly.
I really can't wait to see what Kiwi Paul comes up with and Tim's bucket is looking better all the time. He really spent some time on those taillights and worked out something nice.

Okay guys what would you change to make this bucket look better. I don't like the brass horn.

Hahaha, thanks Gary. I've seen pics of that car before. I realy don't know what to say, other than wow, somebody had a lot of time******** in those headers. I****ume there must have been a good theory behind them, beyond making everyone that walked by the car say 'holy*****'..

Well, those headers keep your eyes focused on them so you don't notice the other ugly things that may be a part of that bucket. :eek:o_O:oops::confused::rolleyes: I should add, you also don't notice the good things either because you can't get past the clusterfuk, posing as headers!

  9. Wow - those are pretty crazy and pointless other than shock value - must have been a sale on 180 degree bends. Although you can't see them well, I'm thinking the hairpins look a little suspect as well. Love the Vel stack and the 12 spokes though! Anyone have a full shot of this? Looks like the rest might be pretty nice.

First off, are the primaries of equal length? If not sell them to a school for use as a bicycle rack. Front brakes would be a welcome addition also. JW

Okay, here's the scene: You are just leaving the annual car show with your buddy, and he asks you, "What was the most memorable car in the show...?" Did the guy accomplish his goal...or not?

He didn't accomplish what he wanted with me! I remember the cars I loved to look at, not the most gawdy POS at the show. Some people may like to see that kind of thing, but I'm not one of them.

  19. I have a book out in one of my many storeage boxes in the garage about building race engines from F1 to Mini 7 series race cars etc and in the chapter on exhaust headers it explains that the more curves and bends in a system, it improves the flow pluss the effect of*****ing the spend gases out away from the engine. I remember it mentioning that when it came time for designing the header system on the GT40's a heap of time went into improving the flow which improved horse power and also quietened the engine note down. On the same note was an example of a F1 race car, can't remembeer what brand, where by lengthening the headers and collectors by 11" improved the performance of the engine a great deal. Now any improvement like that can win you races. I wonder if the builder of that exhaust system has read the same book ?

I think your right Anders except the cops are laughing so hard they can't write the ticket.

So the Kiwi is your country's symbol like our Bald Eagle that lands in the tree in my back yard.

If he did, did he understand it?? JW

  22. On a light note Gary, I have never understood where the term " Yank " originated from. I suppose we Kiwi's could refer to you guys as " Bald Eagles " but ain't they on the endangered list so maybe that wouldn't work.
    ;);)

  23. Now that is hard case as we must of been typing at the same time. Awesome photo's of the eagle Gary. So I must be wrong about how few are left in America ?

  25. Serious question now after having another look at the yellow T, How many have radio's or stero tap deck,CD players in their T Roadsters or any other Roadster for that matter ? It looks like one fitted to the dash of the yellow one and I wondered just how one would hear it over the enging noise etc.

  26. Heck Jeremy, on your trip up to see the Eagles, you better stop in Rotorua's Rainbow Springs, they have so many there breeding they are releasing them out into the wide. Trouble is one can only see them at night and that is usually after my bedtime.

DDT almost wiped them out but they have made a great comeback. I was just bragging but I am really lucky to see them daily flying in and out of the backyard tree.

Mark, we have a Kiwi breeding program down here also just north of Masterton and the term ''Yank'' and ''Yankee'' dates back to the Civil War days and refers to the soliers from New England States. JW
