  5. Can one of you talented guys lay down a burgundy paint job on my car with chrome reverse black wall wheel / tire combo.. Then can I be so bold to ask for a comparison shot in a dark green , almost black ! Fill in the rear wheel as well as I have a skirt for it and will be running them . Thanks in advance , Andy..

I think green is the new black.

  12. Well, dark green is the new near black, at least!

    Hey themoose,
Thanks for the extra colors. On the maroon one with maroon wheels, could you please make the fire wall white? And 40 ford hubcaps. Thanks in advance.

Hey PhotoShoppers! Here is a challenge for you. I have a 1960 Ford twin bubble top showrod in the works and I am looking for cool paint suggestions. Here are some photos of it with the paint blanked out. Could someone please give me some ideas? I kind of like Hot Rod orange and white. blank front wo hood lines.jpg white blank.jpg IMG_2957.jpg

Wow, thanks moose. Makes a whole different car. Maybe I will try and find some mags for it, but I think satin or mag finish that polish about blinded me.

Is there anyway we can all donate to the photos shoppers hotrod fund or something? I mean the service they provide us is so cool I feel like we should do something in return. By the way thanks again guys for what you do.

  17. ^^^ I've been thinking this myself.
I know they get a kick outer doing it, or they wouldn't do it, but feel all who take the time to wow and impress us, should get more reward.
I myself swap stuff with a few Hambers, so was thinking it would be cool to send em gifts, of the Hot Rod kind.
On Saturday, I received a large package of Hot Rod Goodies from Oregon, and I'm still getting through it all. Cash is OK, but goodies are freakin awesome.
And don't forget to show your appreciation with please and thank yous. Good manners go a long way.

  19. I can only speak for myself but as Kiwijeff says, I do this because I enjoy playing around with all of the great cars that show up on this thread. If I can help someone realize their vision that's payment enough. I've built a number of cars over the years and I've found that what looks good in the minds eye does not always translate well in reality and I wish that I had some way back in the day to try it out first instead if having to redo. Your thanks and "Likes" is payment enough for me.

Jim, let me say that you have one of the baddest hot rods on the HAMB. I was wondering if reducing the gap between the radiator and engine would even make it look better. since Moose is photo shopping it, I'd like to see it with that gap closed up, not just moving the radiator back, the whole thing shortened up just a little. If I'm out of line here just ignore this request and I'll shut the hell up. :D

I will gladly give a prize to the person that submits a paint job that I actually use. Here are a couple of more photos of my bubbletop in progress.

I agree with themoose. Though I haven't been around much lately, it has always been about having fun and developing peoples' ideas. I do appreciate the thank yous but the biggest kick I get is when someone incorporates my work into their cars. This has happened a few times and is always a kick. Maybe we should say "thank you" too.
The hardest part about this is kicking around the idea of building one of our photoshops. The '59 TeeChero in my photoshop album is a good example, I just can't get it out of my head. lol

  25. What the heck...I'll get the ball rolling..Sometimes simple is better in order to let the design speak for itself..

  26. OahuEli nailed it for me. I do this stuff because it's fun and feeds my creative mojo. If someone actually builds something or uses a concept I came up with? That's nirvana. I think themoose has more available time than most of us do, and has been able to perfect his skills (color changes, especially!) to come up with the magic that he does.

Unfortunately that sometimes translates into quick response times which some people interpret as "everything is easy to do." Reality is sometimes FAR different.

    Keep the requests coming!

I did a few Photoshop a while ago. If the others don't want money, I will take it.

  29. nali also prompted a very important point: Remember that we are volunteers and we should only be tasked with items for mock up or "what if" questions - low resolution stuff. There are professional designers out there who should be used for high-res work.
