Event Coverage Run to the Sun : Myrtle Beach, SC March 21st Cookout

Cool. I had 2 out of the 3 correct. Sunbeam and cool interior.

 

My hotel is booked. I'm going to try and get the trim on the wagon. Other than that I'm ready!

 

Man I was just looking at some pictures from last years run to the sun, all kinds of shorts and t shirts being worm so it must have been warm. If we don't talk about C_ _ _ weather and R _ _ _ it won't be none. I believe

 

We've had the fortune of the past 5 or 6 years having perfect 75 degree weather. I hope we continue the trend!

Hey, I didnt wear out the Sunbeam!!!

 

I'll find out how much I like the new Flowmaster 50s on the Caddy after driving all the way down from Charlotte. If I can't hear anything anyone says, I'll know there's a problem.

 

The good news is that according to the city of Myrtle Beach, spring has arrived! The bad news, all the parking meters went up yesterday all over town.

I just went outside. It's confirmed I will not have to shovel it in the morning. Come on down

 

Might want to keep the shovel out for the 21st. Things tend to get deep when we congregate.

 

I'll wear my hip-waders and bring stilts, too!

 

Just wait for us Lowcountry folk to get there! Then it may get deep.

I see the SC state parks still don't permit alcoholic beverages. It's a shame, or I'd be sharing a few lovely brews with everyone when I got there. Oh well, Barq's root beer and ice cold Coca-Cola are still mighty tasty, too.

Just a little white sand accumulated on the beaches! Looks like 60s-70s on the 10 day forecast. Hopefully Saturday the 21st will be like that last 6 or 7 show dates!

I'm going to try a sneek in the mercury on Thursday next to a good shade tree or two. I'll leave the car planted thru Saturday. Maybe we can get parked in the same area.

So we obviously are all going for the show during the day, and Saturday late afternoon we have the meet and greet but what's everyone's plans for Friday night or Saturday after the meet and greet? Skidmark and I were talking about going to the Beaver Bar show Friday night. I imagine I'll be doing some parking lot hanging out with the Retarded Sparks CC since I'm in the same hotel. Anyone else have plans?

 

Although I plan on leaving the Mercury at the show, the Beaver bar is 1/2 m from my house. I may check the out.

The park just confirmed the shelter reservation. B2. Held under "KEELIN" but you just need to head to the ocean and will see us. Also if you bring beer you will need to pour into a solo cup. We will have those .
