    I don't know how many of you other guys are here on a daily basis like I am but Tommyd and Gary Reynolds deserve some kind of award for bringing us the history of drag racing from its greatest era.
    I remember so many of these cars....it's like, oh yeah, now that was a great car!

    Seriously, thanks for the kind words. I want these pics to LIVE FOREVER! There really was a Golden Age, drag racing to , say 72 or so. History, never to return, American ingenuity at it's peak.
    I hate to think of how many old photos there are in attics, drawers and garages just disintegrating. Once they are gone, they are gone forever. BUT, if they are on the web, they will circulate for years throughout the world.
    SO SCAN AND POST!!

  5. Paul Shapiro lit the M&Hs in the Cohen-Shapiro-Sonnenblick-O'Brien Israeli Rocket at Miami's Masters Field, a Marines airfield used for mid-1960s drags.

    That is so cool. I was there and seen that in person Maybe one of these days someone will post a photo of my gasser that I now have.Aggravation Too 56 chevy
