Well I've searched and need some advice on this. I'was wondering if I can use standard straight valve stems with factory hollow lifters or should I save the mushroom valves/split guides, i've read both but was wondering if anyone has any real world exp. i'm looking at 1007b type cam, not a lot of spring pressure,I appreciate any help

Use the 8BA style lifters. They were used with straight stem valves from the factory.

Well, I've got several sets of the hollows and was wondering if I could use them since they're so light.

Yes, the hollow steel ones are the prefered ones. They can be identified by having ONLY two 5/32 holes in the side.

Ahh, okay now I understand. I thought "hollow lifters" referred to the ones with the helical slots in them. Thanks for helping me understand the nomenclature, I appreciate it.

No offense but you might be over your head. The "hollow" lifters while being the best require each valve to me ground for the proper clearance. You might be better off with the adjustable lifters. They elimanate the need to grind (or weld) the tip of every valve to get the cams recommended clearance.
