Event Coverage 2nd Annual Southwest MO Hot Rod Hundred Reliability Run - April 4, 2015

TOMORROW!!

The route runs right by our house so my lovely bride is planning to set up camp and attempt to shoot some video as we go by. I'll toss up some vids on YouTube if they come out OK.

 

Sounds like a fun event. I may have to go visit one of my cousins just about the time of the event one of these years.

 

Had a good evening stuffing bags and getting ready for tomorrow. Looks like it will be a cool start, but a nice day! Here's a pic of the "prep area", LoL!

It was a great day! Weather was beautiful, the route took us through some wonderful southern Missouri countryside, the hot rods and customs were fantastic, the food was delicious, and the people were as good as it gets! I can't wait for next year! And I will post pictures, Larry!

When I opened the garage door and fired up the Nomad this morning, the first thing I saw was the lunar eclipse staring me in the face. I looked at the time, 6:28, precisely the time of the eclipse. It was pretty cool, but no, I did not take a photo because it was below freezing and my Nomad has no heat! We stopped at a church to make sure no one missed a turn, and that is when I remembered I brought a camera. Before then, all I could think was, "I have to get a heater core!"

It was great meeting you, Clay, Chris, and others that I've only known through the HAMB.

 

This A coupe was making its maiden voyage! Pure fun!

And just in case anybody thinks, "Why in the world would he have the hood open on that 37 to show it that off?"..... I wasn't showing off I was cooling it off to clean a fouled plug..... its certainly not an open hood car.

Goodie bag/T shirt packing party at Jimmy's shop

Jimmy let the Hay boys stay in the shop apartment and we got to park inside! That's my 38 coupe and my uncle David's 40 PU.
I drove 450 miles one way to drive 100 miles!! It was great therapy.

This 36 had a shortened roof to look like a Victoria.. Owner said the roof crown is a 37 Plymouth turned backwards.. Neat car
