I'm going for the first time this year...been planning it for many years. Im staying at a motel 6 sort of close to the event..I'm too old for much night life!!

 

We stay where they leave the lights on for you,up by the fairgrounds . Long ways to congress but its $49 instead of $200 .

The LSR is for everyone who enjoys life.It's a car venue,music venue,pinstripers venue,food venue,people watching venue,etc.I guarantee YOU will not be disappointed for the $20 at the gate admission.I live 100 miles away and haven't missed it for the past 10-12 years.My oldest son lives in east Austin and I spend Friday nite with him after attending all day Friday/Saturday; then it's just a leisure drive of 100 miles to the house, it doesn't get any better than that weekend!

 

Coming down from Mn for the fourth time drove last year,well worth it.Trying to find the thread about good places to eat,anybody got a link?
