"Jimbo could this be the Terenzio Bros. at Dover very early

Yes it is and it sure looks like Geno driving.
I believe this car is sitting in a back yard of Peter Maples house in Stamford the last thing I knew.

Do you remember the old Studebaker the Terenzio Bros. raced called the "Quarter Horse" ? It had a 401 Buick engine and I think the engine in the "Let it Fly" car is also a Buick engine.

They have come along way from those day's to the Alcohol funny car that Anthony Terenzio and Micky Ferro run today.
Last thing I heard was the Vic and Geno had built another Alcohol funny car and that Geno was going to get re-licensed to drive it. The car is 95% finished in sitting at Geno's house.

Latest I heard is that the car is for sale, seems the harmony is all gone.

I'm willing to bet that was the pic used to make the Miss Deal model kit art! SWEET!

Pat: I thought it might be to good to be true.
Geno sometimes is not easy to get along with.

  21. I'd suggest you check out the Classic Funny Car site, ask some questions there as well as here when you are serious.
If you want to build an exact duplicate it might be difficult and it would be good for display, not racing. Research time! Again, good luck!

  22. Other way around! The "Miss Deal" kit came out in the mid 60's, the car pictured is only a few years old! I can't for the life of me remember the name of the Stude ( Suicide something), but it's builder was on the HAMB. It's not a old car.
EDIT!!! I was thinking of the "Suicide King" Stude, wrong car! I don't think that pic inspired the kit art though! Who knows!

I think it's called Suicide King? If memory serves. Keep up the good work Gary (and others!). EDIT: I type very slow!

  25. One of my few remaining vices is drag racing model kits. I have, er, several hundred lying around.
The story I hear is that Revell was going to kit the Stude, but AMT beat them with their 53 kit, this would have been 65 or so.
Later when funny car fever hit, Revell altered the wheelbase of the existing body, threw in the parts pack Chrysler and running gear with an slightly altered Corvette chassis and packaged it as a funny car. It was, in other words, cobbled together from existing molds.
    I dunno, BACK TO RACING!
