Big difference in the vibe of the car depending on the color, the maroon seems very nice but sedate, the impala blue doesn't seem to draw your attention, the gold/yellow says hey you! look at this car. my 2 cents.
I have to say, (glad to not be shot ) The "Impala blue" that looks so bad on the Impala actually looks pretty good on the roadster.
I sure like the maroon! I am partial to a color called Royal Cessna Maroon, has a tiny bit o purple to it.
It's good to mix it up, but I'm not sure that yellow/orange "goes" with the gold all that well. Gold says "classy" to me. Would a tomato red have the grab you're wanting and still complement the gold?
Yeah, to me, while that orangy/yellow looks good, it kinda clashes with the gold. It'd look better with cream accents, but then you risk it looking like a fuckin creamsickle. Although, maybe with cream wheels and firewall and keep the engine gold? I'm honestly still on the Impala blue, or something along those lines anyway. have you thought about a purple. maybe an eggplant. if thats too dark you could go a few shades lighter too.it would go with the gold and the tan seat.
i cant fingure out how to post a pix to show an example but if you put a candy purple over a silver base the wouldn't wash out the lines as would a darker shade.
I like the lighter blues. I'd pick a factory blue color from the mid-fifties. Any manufacturer would work. Just pick the blue you like and enjoy.
I followed your build with interest, and even though some ochoices don't line up with what I would have done, I am impressed with your ability to keep it interesting without crapping things up. These cars (T's of the '23-25 style) are too often made to resemble the TV show example that launched an industry that spawned a flotilla of fiberglass wonders that got uglier by the generation, until they were plotting to take over the world. What was forgotten was that some very nice Hot Rods had been built from them before, that could be driven and looked good without vast quantities of bling to hide the short comings of the clones of clones. By the way, for padding that will conform to your seat, and for a back that will support your lumbar, without bulk, look in the Aircraft Spruce catalog for the material used by NASA in the Space Shuttles, etc. It's pricey but for long rides nothing can kill you quicker than a shitty seat; and fatigue spoils everything. As to a blue, I am fond of the the light blue of Early VWs that I call Luftwaffe Blue. I know that's not the name of itbut it has enough gray to keep it from looking gauche. Good Luck with the final details. Fun is on the cusp.

Personally, I really like how that Impala blue looks on it. Or something along the lines of that tint. But I know it'll turn out perfect no matter what colour you decide on.

Ruler! Congrats! That must have felt awesome to drive for the first time! Out of all the cars i'm pissed about not being able to make it to Austin to see, This is the top of the list.
