Is that an R apron from Delta Bay?
The rear valance/tail pan treatment and the rear wheel openings are perfect!

 

Thanks - Not sure who originally built the R apron. The original guy mounted it and made brackets etc for a 64-5 car. He then decided to stay with the bumper and sold it to another dude who ran out of money before mounting it. I had to modify a fair bit to fit my round body. Was told it was a Mustang to start with, hence all the mods. The rear and wheel wells are all stell and were easier LOL

 

Reason I asked is Delta Bay supposedly has/sells the R apron for 60-64 Falcons....

Is that a Jag fuel filler? Got any pics of that?

 

I think their R apron only fits 64-5

How did you route your exhaust? Did you manage to fit the pipes in the tunnel under the support plate?

 

I'm saving my junky front fenders so I can use the wheel wells on the rear It looks really cool like a mini Tbird Hotrdon

 

I will be working up my rear quarters like that, shortly.

No room in the tunnel, under the support plates - 2.5" 304 Stainless

 

Mike - looks like a nice job - I did take about an inch out of the center of the front fender opening when I welded them on, I wanted it tighter to the tire. A also tightened up the rear fade away quite a bit.

I was thinking of that (and asked you about it) but with my 245/60/14 tires, I just shifted the leading edge forward about an inch to get an overall even gap. As far as exhaust, I've been told if you shim the center brace down an inch you can squeeze two 2 1/4" pipes in there.
I like your rollbar. Is that homemade or an adapted off-the-shelf item? Do you have a rear seat? What is it attached to in the back?

 

I did make the roll bar. It is 1.625" Chom Moly. The rear stays go to the panel that the rear seat would sit against, If I still had a rear set in it LOL

I might look at that for the exhaust, but to be honest since I run the pipes out in front of the rear wheels, it isn't really an issue.

I'm trying to install a '65 p/s system on a '63 but missing the ram bracket, frame holes and a hose bracket. Does anyone know the part no. for a 1963 p/s hydraulic ram bracket? does this bracket interchange with 64.5-66 mustang? Has anyone had to locate one on an early frame rail thats not stamped with the holes already in it? How do I figure out where to drill them? also missing the hose insulator frame bracket is this the same as mustang as well? - thanks

 

I came across this image while looking for something else (which isn't unusual for me) and wondered if the experts around here could give some background. From my reading here (I haven't read the whole thread...yet) it seems that Holman and Moody built three of these for rally/road racing, but I don't know if they competed in the US or internationally. I saw the tricked out one on page 34, and it got my creative juices flowing. I'm going to get my ideas down in pixels, but I was curious about this beast.

I finally got my Falcon lettered yesterday.... It's getting closer to being finished...

 

Mine's finally done!

Briefly the specs are:

- 1975 Maverick 250 with Classic Inlines head, Comp 260H cam, Autolite 2100 2bbl, and 9:1 compression.
- 1984 Mustang GT T5 5-speed.
- 1970 Maverick 8-inch with 3.80:1 gears and a Detroit Locker differential.
- Upgraded shocks and rear springs.

It’s still fresh and I haven’t beat on it yet, but it’s clearly a moving machine. I’m very excited to drive it more.
