I spent yesterday afternoon at the event and it was the best turn out I can remember. I mainly went to pick up some parts at the swap meet and was successful. I stopped at the Acme Speed Shop truck and thanked them for the posts of the pictures from his trip to get there. The cackle fest dragster drew a large crowd and there were probably 500 women of all ages walking around in their best Pin Up costumes. The weather has been mostly rain but it didn't stop the crowd at all. There are a lot of people that think the young people are not interested in old cars but you couldn't tell it from this event.

 

There's a lot going on with Eric's T, for sure... I've crawled around it a few times to admire the details. Tom's pic, tho, is a good one... the fence separating the T from the dailies... the fellow outside but looking in... what's that fellow thinking...? Lots going on there... Tom's a genius.

It's unusual to see so many cars I really like! And, even better: no f*%^*ing R@% R*^s either, Ever'one must be protectin' their precious bodily fluids by drinking Branch Water and Bourbon in those parts. The fendered Deuce with the wires seems to have shown on the Jalopy Journal, if memory serves, and it's good to see it's driven. There are a lot beautiful AV8s and Deuces, too; and that gold Forty is super nice. Was the blown T-Bird a Y Block? Unless my eyes deceive me, the Fab T belongs to a HAMBer and was built before our very eyes? Looks righteous in B&W. Mighty fine reportage for those of us who weren't in attendance. Thanks for the hard work and nice images.
