Well, that dude is checking out some bumpers. BTW, I do like those chrome reverse rims on those Impalas.

 

I made a mistake, the 63 has Supremes but 61 has chrome reverse.

The start of "self-service" gas stations. I do remember one station in a neighboring city that only hired female attendants about the age of the one in the picture. The owner had a loyal customer base.
