Thanks a lot Crusty Chevy. There will be another starting up in about a week and a half for the Stray Kat 500. This one will be no where near done by then, so I will be doing them both at once.

Dam, Hamtown Al, I missed you among the gillion people attending. I am ashamed that I didn't drive the 75 miles from San Antonio, especially seeing all the roadsters and phaetons from all over the U.S. I was watching the tornado that was 75 miles west of Austin, and it was raining like gangbusters when we left Friday morning. I really felt like crap when I saw the outpouring of drivers. Great show. Hope you made it home O.K. I really wanted to see your ride.

Ah, Gary, we've all heard the line that you can fool some of the people some of the time and none of the people all of the time. I'm guessing you're poking fun at me for "accurately" deeming the subject coupe to be a "30 or 31" without having actually been there!
So sorry to hear of your weather woe but dang glad y'all are all OK.
Rest assured that if I ever do get to your show I WILL see you one way or another! Not that you're so cute but I'm honored that you'd be so encouraging to a guy from VA that really likes 36 Fords and I appreciate it.
    All the best,
    Al
PS I COULD have said I rode a bus and had on a big hat and dark glasses to deal with the sun and you must have missed me but you'd know that was a lie... I don't intend to ever go to any run without DRIVING something or other of mine.

This license plate is probably a little rare. LSRU-Oly-15-0254-Edit.jpg

Dan, many thanks for the shots of the 36! The time that you take in posting these photos is greatly appreciated.
The first shot really captures the essence of the car as well as I could ever imagine...

    1936/37 Lincoln Zephyr
Dan, I like the Zephyr and hope someone will follow up on the build of this car. I had a '37 Zephyr coupe from 1961 until about 1975. It had several Ford flathead engines and later a 1956 Chev 265 built to Corvette specs with the early Ford driveline. It was a fun car and kind of pretty in Honduras Maroon, it went from a gasser look to lowered in the front. I wish I could buy another one for ten dollars like I did in 1961 !

Wheeliedave - I am sure we will see and hear more about that Zephyr in the future. It was inside the Austin Speed Shop during their Friday night open house.

I remember that one too and liked it as well, Quickster.

Here is a 52 Ford pickup at the gas station on the way to the show. I liked this shot of it better than the one I would have gotten of it in the show. It has a nicely done 300CI six in it.

  20. Dan, I could spend all day just marveling over the shots you take. We are all blessed to have you take the time and effort. It makes me feel unworthy as I just sit back and lazily enjoy them.................Don.

Absolutely fantastic lenscraft Mr. Greenberg! I always look forward to your coverage from the show to see what I missed in my "sensory overload"! Have you ever worn a pedometer?

  23. Dan, are you coming to the Jalopyrama Reunion? Might as well since the TRJ Revival has been postponed :)

Thanks so much for that Don, Hi-Flying (are you going to the SK 500 - if so I will see you later this week),seatext (yes I have a fitbit and it registered between 14,000 and 20,000 steps each day), Scooterfille( yes I am planing on Jalopyrama unless something unforseen prevents it.) and i.rant. I am glad you all are following along and, more importantly, enjoying the show. I go into sensory overload looking through my shots and all the cool cars in them and trying to decide which to work on next. Cool GoPro shots, Quickster.
