i started on the exhaust the other day. full 3" stainless. i'm trying something new to help with the stresses on the header collector. i'm not really liking how ugly it is, but a bellow will give a little flex in the front half of the system.

i plan to use a small starter, but i wanted to be able to fit a big starter if i ever got stranded. also i will be running a short oil filter for clearance.

Stunning craftsmanship. What size are the rear/wheels tires?

    16x13 with 345/55-16

The final wheel and tire combo for the back will be 16x10 with 14/31-16 dirt track tires.

  6. As always sir, your work is exceptional. I've also been watching on Instagram, and am glad you posted here as the larger photo's really demonstrate the detail, which is inspiring.
I did have a couple of questions if I may,
    (1) I've been searching for some front spring shackles just like those, is this a product you guys typically carry?
    (2) the rear Q/C, is this something you've had for ages, or a recent sourced item? I'm after basically the same arrangement for my coupe, and trying to look at where my options lie.
Again, admire this build, and appreciate the updates, both on insta, and here.
    Cheers,
    Drewfus

There is a reason that I don't do: Facebook Instagram Pinterest or Quilting.
    I discovered the HAMB

You know Danny, there is also the other side of this.
Even if your thread had remained in the traditional rods section, your plan of keeping it away from other posts would not have worked anyway because all posts appear in the general forum (hokey ass message board).

So, there is no real need to be so sensitive. I don't see a problem with the majority of what was posted, plenty of praise and a few questions.

Possibly you are a bit over sensitive ?

  17. I love all the custom machined brackets. Very well thought out chassis. Thanks for sharing.

And after a while, those other venues look so much better than the current HAMB.

This build thread thrown into General Discussion instead of Traditional is what's wrong this time.

You guys know that Ryan has asked for help in a survey don't you ?
Instead of whining about it do the survey and make suggestions.

One of my suggestions was just that, creating a separate section for build threads.
And a big NO ! In no way are the other venues better than the HAMB.

My comment on the survey was not aimed at you, I believe you should keep posting your progress.
We all appreciate what you are doing and have done.

  24. Well if the thread ain't gonna get closed keep posting. We'll follow along!

my complaint is causing drama, which is what i hate about the main page. for the past ten years, all i have wanted out of posting is to show people what can be done on hot rods. please understand, by no means have i done this to create a buzz about this project.

if ya'll like what i do and care enough to take the time to comment, i guess i need to put on my big boy pants and continue to post. thank you for helping me see both sides of the issue.

What do you do to those milled parts to give them that "forged" look? Is it just a minute in the blasting cabinet? Do you use a special blast material, or just regular sandblast sand?
