Only problem with that scenario is when the truck gets spun around facing the wrong way cuz the 56 is gone and marchin' toward the big end draggin' the Tonka truck behind it!

I was supposed to get a bunch of work done on the car today,but I finally had a bit of time with my Son,and we didn't waste any of it with a grinder screaming away in our ears.

Oh,so I switched up cams from the old Ford E2 cam,to something a wee bit gnarlier...

Note:Running a Windsor cam in a 289 has been the hot ticket for years.Reduces angry harmonics and whatnot.

It's not a conspiracy to sneak a 351 in there.lol

I'm still waiting on my roll bar.Ordered up a 6 point bar to try to help the old heap.Im afraid without it,those 6200rpm launches are gonna fold the thing in half like a book of matches....lol!

Hopefully now that I'll have a few more lb/ft if tq with the added stroke,I can lower the launch rpm by a couple thousand.

So what have you got left to do Art?Valve springs,and...?Are you still getting the motor together?The car is basically complete at this point,right?

Not really inside is about done, short block assembled, still need valve springs installed and cam degree'd assemble rest of engine drivetrain, put front clip together talk Kip and Joe into helping me adjust this new (straight axle thingy) set up lol...... Just lotsa small stuff once the drive train is done and installed it should go quick????

 

I'm not sure your car qualifies Paul, beings it has to be push started and all. LOL

 

You forgot to add that Eric is still going to put a hurt on you!!
