He doesn't know what he's missin' fellas!

Torn bowl gaskets in the pits, cracking vent tube bosses, what could possibly turn him off of these babies...?;) lol!

Seriously though,I love these Holleys.I seem to be able to get them to run pretty well with a minimal amount of screwing around, and they look all "Ricky Racer" as one of my Dad's buddies used to say....lol

The carb is epoxied and actually like 2- 2 barrels and is always jetted and squirted square. There are tubes bisecting the venturies so when the blades are wide open the air in the venturies gets "quartered" and induces atomization better, the powervalve is gutted and orfices opened up for more fuel and I do not know all that is done or understand how it works all I know is that it made my car "KILLER" consistant, idle clean, respond crisp and nonsensitive to humidity changes... in other words I have a set of jets and squirters for spring/fall air and jets and squirters for summer air. Also,I only run 69 jets (inna 11.5-1 383 chevy)with the screws only about 1/8 of a turn from seated. Jamison 750 008.JPG

  24. And I thought your carb speed trick was some peanut butter dabbed way in there....

    LOL

Looks like .093 holes in blades, (to supply more air at idle)
Are holes in rear blades also?

  27. If they were wouldn't they be like the front ones and located next to the transfer slot? So I say no...but...I don't remember....I've had this carb 33 years and you would think I would remember but....I bump my head a lot....I will look next time and report back...

Redline it must be one bad ass carb you even have it chained down.

Just some FYI mine is coughing, sputtering and foaming at the mouth like a dog with raibies.

Been tuning this carb. on my 64 Chevelle driver the last two days, (for the 67 drag car.)
Already had the q.f. metering blocks & bowl extenders so ordered the q.f. 6-1050 center
and base plate. Ended up ordering new bowls (so I didnt have to part out the old 850) 64 1050 1.JPG
The center came with jets so used them 1st try 86front with p.v. 96 rear no p.v. (blocked) Air fuel ok @ idle.JPG
I have a stumble but its to lean for race mode yet, this gage reads green at 14.7 mix
This pic. is a idle, But whats interesting is its green (all ways) even @ W.O.T.

Just put in next drag race tune 96 square no p.v. , my goal is to have the same green at idle
and the top two red rich bars on at W.O.T. = about 12.5. mix.

Then it will be ready for
    1/4 m.p.h. tune on Tickety Boo:rolleyes:
