The (narrow band) bar graph air/fuel ratio gauge is from Summit Racing
    part # IZL-MS7008 for $37.97.

Dyno max 02 bung (weld on header collector or exhaust pipe)
at Advance Auto part # 88103 for $14.49.

Bosch narrow band Oxygen sensor at Advance Auto part #11027
    for $17.99.

Sooo for about $75.00 the center green lights tell you when are at ideal clean
14.7 emission air/fuel burn. (Not the ideal 12.2 max. power ratio.)

The best gauge for the job is (Much More Expensive) wideband gauge and controller.
FAST dual senser air/fuel meter Summit part # fst-170402 for $417.97.

But I am Cheap,Cheap,Cheap, and always figuring out a Cheaper patho_O

Sooo using (narrow band) 1st tune for the green lights. 14.7 ratio.

Max gas mileage tune for orange & 1 green bottom lean end of gauge.
(when 2 orange/no green lean you will start to get a lean miss)

Max Power tune jetting in steps (sneak up slowly) until both red rich lights are on
    at W.O.T.

Finally tune with 1/4 max m.p.h.:)

  8. Darn kids and their computers... whatever happened to a weather station barometer and a vacuum gage?

Fancy version of a Colour Tune and an air meter!

  11. I'm a plug reader tis the only way I know how to tune. All these fancy new things are cool tho....

  12. if you can ever afford A/f meters in every primary tube you'll learn things that plug reading could never teach

Got mine after a bad chassis Dyno tuning experience:(. (The Guy just wanted to sell carbs).o_O
He started several pulls (shut down early said we were lean) jetted up several times and never made
progress on his gauge.o_O Installed two of his carbs. and never got good results.

Lost all my tuning confidence and drove home less $180.00 for never a good pull and with my 750 in my hands.
Not many wide band kits were available then, but this gauge will at least let me know (dangerous lean)
    and get close.

Can anyone tell me the difference between the Moroso DS-2 and the Drag Special front tires.

The DS-2's are a shorter flatter tire that grow for less rolling resistance.....don't look good on the older stuff (in my opinion)

Pretty sure McCreary has a front that looks right at home on a '60's era drag car too...

So how did the trip to the track go for the Koopmeiners?
Saw the post on facebook, but didn't see a follow up.
No more brain donors testing out their trans brake in the pits I hope? That almost broke my heart...

I've got top fuel aspirations on a two barrel budget!
Us low budget guys have to look under every rock for a few tenths here and there...:)
