After over 30 years of searching, Greg Hall from Southeast Michigan found, and purchased the special yellow "T" he had been searching for. The special part, is that it's the original T modified that was built by Cotton Werksman back in the 60's. I was able to meet Greg this past Saturday as he and the modified were in Illinois for a suprise 83rd birthday for Cotton. Cotton sold the modified in the early 70's and it's been MIA since. It was quite the reunion, and Cotton even took the T out for a spin. I caught up with the group after the party, while they were on a cruise into Southern Wisconsin. Here are some iPhone pics I took. Hopefully in a few days there will be a video from the party, and some more pics.
    What a cool HOT ROD!

Cool car and what a nice ending to the story! I'd love to see a couple-50 images of the car, top to bottom, to see all the cool stuff hidden behind the body. Gary

It survived in really nice condition and not too many things will have to be changed back. And given time, I'm willing to bet it will have some Ardun heads installed!
Here are a few more pics.

A *****...can you edit the ***le to include Cotton's name? Nobody knows what this thread is about because the ***le is so generic. This is important stuff! :D :D

Tom, another part of this unbelievable reunion, is the reunion of the two T's. Greg Hall also owns the Bob Knaack T! So the two T's are together too!

here's an old magazine pic of one cotton had a hand in. frame was built on the same jig. he also built the engine. the owner was bob knaak of barrington, ill. i spoke with cotton's son, matt, on a facebook venue, and he says cotton is well and visits the shop quite a bit! What a great story. I followed one of his builds in a magazine back then and it has always stuck in my mind. I'm glad to see what few changes were made to it can be reversed fairly easily ( I didn't say inexpensively) to bring it back to it's prime.

Is Cotton or Matt going to build a new Ardun for it?

Greg has a set of Ardun heads sitting on the Knaack modified now.....I would guess they will at some point be put on the Werksman modified. Will Cotton get involved?.....That's a good question.
