On this Memorial Day weekend, I want to extend a big thank you to all the vets as well as those who are currently serving our country, Without all of your sacrifices we would not be able to enjoy our hobby
I was in the Field Artillery 1983-87. My day comes the Eleventh Hour Of The Eleventh Day Of The Eleventh Month. This weekend, Memorial Day, is for all those who didn't come back, or are now gone. So, let me join you in saying THANK YOU, each and everyone. -Dave
Amen to that. . I'm not into "Happy" Memorial Day- sure as hell not what it's all about.------- Mike B., Spec.5 - U.S. Army Corp of Engineers-last duty station 3rd/81st Artillery, I Corp. 1970-71.
remembering those that made the ultimate sacrifice for us to do what we do, and be who we are. Thank-You is such a small way of acknowledging what each of those individuals, and their families and loved ones, have done for us. God Bless
Thank you to all of out vets. My stepson has been back form over you know where for about a year now and is finally acting like his old self again. He has us worried for a while. Thanks Bruce.
I agree I served 1969-1971, but this day is for those that didn;t make it back, but thanks to all those that are serving now, you are maintaining our freedoms today
Maybe the post on BangShift.com today sums it up: "Memorial Day is the day where we reflect on those who died in the service of our country, and remember and honor their legacy. Easy to say, but what does it mean? For some, it brings up images of Arlingon Nationa Cemetery, with rows of headstones. For others, it brings up painful memories of a loved one lost. Veterans may look back upon times spent with brothers-in-arms who didn’t make it home. Memorial Day isn’t exactly a celebration day, but a day of remembrance for the men and women who selflessly served, and paid that final price that every service member fears most." To those who paid the ultimate price, two Navy vets in NH say God Bless and may you have calm seas and following winds in your final resting place. J.T.
