    I thought valve covers looked different, almost look like BBC. I know it's not a BBC.

    and that smooth looking buick (3 above frankie's pic) is an early gm design experiment known as the "y-job." it got that name because experimental projects were always called "x," and this was one better!

    I think I remember that "How to do it" story from when it was published. The idea was to replace a 265 SBC with a 365 Cad. Gain 100 cubic inches. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Not so much today.
