Cool thanks I'll check it out.

Can any one tell me what this is before I take it off and weld up the hole. It goes up the windshield post on the passenger side and stops. Like a vent of some sort.

And welding up some holes today while it rains again.

Great thanks. I'll leave it for now. Havnt decided on wipers yet. It had a drivers wiper that was hand operated. May put an electric jobber on from snyders.

Raining again today so I cut and bent up the headlight bar and mocked up the lights. Gotta get the car sitting on the right wheels and tires to get the angle right but it's a start.

Nice car. Keep posting. Still wanna do the chop? I also thought about it, doing it on mine, but now I'am happy with it unchopped. But still curious how it will turn out.

Yep. Nice hard chop. At least 4.5" possibly 5".

Love a Chopped Model A especially when they are chopped hard :) I took 7" out of mine this Sunday.

This one is juuust a little more conservative than the first one. I'd have to ask a buddy how much it's chopped though. I'll get back to you on that!

Hot Rod 50 check out the 2015 Race of Gentlemen thread I just posted 2 photos of it. I would say that one above that Texas Speed just posted is damn near a 7" chop from what I can tell. :)

Got the pan off the motor and everything looks really good and we marked off the chop. Top and bottom of the tape is 5". WE are going to cut the top off at the top tape line. Then cut the top of the bottom tape line and out the top back on. That will be 3". We'll set the top on and see how it feels. Then cut another inch and see how it feels at 4". May stay there or go on to 5". Stay tuned.

Very nice.. Now get to cutting. ;)

  23. Looked thru all the posts and no one asked about the radiator shell. It's a 31 not a 30.
Also it's odd to see a coupe with cowl lights. My info says only the De Luxe coupes had that option.

Vin number says Nov 29 built 30 model. It could have been changed. The motor is a replacement motor. Havnt figured out when it was built yet. I'll do that real quick

So the lug bolts are way to short. Anyone have a part number or know the size and pitch and length to replace them with?

    Cutting to commence soon Matt.

So the engine is looking to be a July 1930 build. But it doesn't match the tag in the door frame. Is that odd?

Model A's didn't have VIN tags in the door, only a serial number on the frame & engine

I'm 5'7" and I had a Model A with a 4" chop. It was cut too much - I had to use a seat that was too low for the steering and pedals to be comfortable, and my head hit the wooden bows in the roof when I hit a bump.

Well the title matches the number of a tag in the door frame. Would this have been a later state Id tag maybe. Weird thing is it shows up in the model A id numbers.
