Thanks for all the kind words folks!! I'm speechless of the work Olav has laid down into this project, and how amazing it turned out! Hat of to you little brother! You rock, and I can't wait to see what you'll build next!! I know the near, future holds another Kvipt Kustoms Kustomrama Project Build, this time another era and another style! Here is another photo from the day of it's debut at the Coupe Devils Bonanza! I promise to return with more info and photos, and keep the story going as we take it out on adventures all over the world!
The original "The Maze" was totally off the wall when it appeared 50+ years ago, and was only around a brief moment. Recreating it today (in Ranchero form, no less!) is equally inspired, and the results are simply spectacular! Bravo!!!
This is one for the record books, absolutely beautiful!!! Has the guy you bought it from seen it yet?
Thanks for all the kind words! When I decided to transform the beaten Ranchero into the radical creation we now know as the Maze II I was sure that most people would think that the car was way over the top...it seems like most people like it..haha. Yesterday I took it on a little trip to Kala Raceway in Sarpsborg, Norway for the Viking Fun and Run. A nice little round track event that takes place three times a year here in Norway. At the show they gave us the Best Custom award, so that was a pleasant surprise
Here's a shot from the racetrack! This photo makes me want to host a hot rod and custom car show at a football field somewhere...there is not so many football fields with the American football goals available, so that will be a though nut to crack!
There are some american football fields north of Oslo, but I'm pretty sure they don't want a bunch of cars driving and parking on the grass...
I just read through this entire thread. Don't know how I missed it, but simply amazing work! Such a bad ass car, er... truck, er... custom!
It's time to complete the paint job on the Dream Truck! After wet sanding for a week , getting rid of the height difference in the stripes, using 1000 grit paper, Olav applied 7 new coats of clear paint. We are now wet sanding with 1500 and 2000 paper before the turd is getting polished
Amazing, amazing work. I don't know where to start with what I like about this project because I don't if I could stop. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
