Does any one have pics of an early ford with just a rubber rake, stock suspension. If I were to do it today on my 40 Tudor I would be using the existing 600x16's on the front, and ? (760's?) on the rear.

The rubber rake will be insignificant, your looking at 28.3o " diameter with the 600x16's and 28.62" with the 670x16". HRP

HRP: I'm talking 760's at least, not 670's. I think 760'sx16's are about 31" tall. I'd like to get a look at big 'n littles, with a stock suspension, to see how the wheel wells are filled out.

I have been thinking about that. How much drop are you getting with the reversed eye?
    Nailhead in your 39, Jason?
Stock suspension CS? those 760's fill out the rear really well. How about the front? Got a pic so I can get a good look at those? I see you don't have your dumps capped. Are you using cut-outs? That is what I want to do on my 40.

A reversed eye spring will give you about 1 inch.

Avatar '40 of mine has a rubber rake only. No dropped axle. But, (gasp) I run BFG radials, 255/70-15's and 155/80-15's. A few leaves out of the springs, reversed spring eyes on both ends.

Every little bit helps......at some point, an inch can be too much.

The common 16" size used on the back is a 7.50:16.

Here is a photo of a 40 with the only modification being the installation of a Posie reversed eye front spring. EVERYTHING else is stock. The spring lowered the front end 1 inch. You can see the slight rake in the photo. The photo was taken about a week after the spring was installed. It is pretty insignificant, but the discerning eye will notice the difference. Yes, I can see a slight rake. The give-away is that your bottom front fender curve is nearly down, into the curve of the whitwall. That is something I want. Now, you emphasised EVERTHING is stock. Am I to ***ume stock 16 inch wheels with the same size tire front and back? 600x16?
Tell us about the rides of the 2 different configurations you showed on your coupe.

Good one Bubba! I understand that rational. So I guess 1 inch is significant if it raises your car when you are paying to lower it! I have 3 inch posie drop springs on my avatar chevy. It only lowered it an inch or slightly more. Posies tell me my springs were sagging 2 inches. I don't buy that. I only had 50K miles on car when work was done, and pictures of 1950 factory chevy pics looked pretty much the same as my stock stance. Conversley, a 2 inch dropped Posie rear spring on my 46, slammed it!
