RIC, it's 1.75" tall, looks to be K&N brand filter... Here's pic of old setup & new ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1434072048.468889.jpg ... ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1434071920.221760.jpg

  5. If you have more room with the hood scoop, get the tallest element that'll fit, or glue two together with weather strip adhesive. For racing, make big air pan that seals to the under side of the hood with the carbs isolated from engine heat, and able to gobble air from the scoop openings. Lots of induction there trying to breath thru a small element with the lid close to the choke horns, vent tubes etc. You got a choke chain on your Doberman brother.

    Thanks Rick

Been keeping a close eye on oil pressure @ the big end like you told me.

(Looks good) had 60 lbs oil pressure when on the brakes, (every time I remember to look)

My home made oil pump pickup, #1088 Hamburger oil pan and Morrosso oil pump baffle
    seems to work.;)

Tried to put this motor in to my 64 Chevelle with the #1088 pan and found the cross member would
have to be modified or engine set back like the 67.
Got the pan at Jefferson swap meet for $100.00.

  9. Jimbo, I have a degree wheel and a piston stop (as long as your plugs are 14mm). I'll be in the shop making a new windage tray this weekend...;)

Jim I made a pan out of an old road sine and cut some foam out of an old seat to seal the pan to my hood and adjusted the back of the hood up sort of a poor mans cowl induction if you will and my car picked up 3 tenths.

Got the old Toploader out of the car last night, bellhousing bolted to the Nash trans, and to the mockup block.
Cut the floor for the shifter (ouch),and mocked up some seat/harness stuff,as well as tacked hood pin brackets on and marked n drilled the hood.

    That's perfect Tony!

Maybe he's smart enough to not tomahawk himself by dropping a 24"x3"X1/8" piece of steel onto his own head by knocking it out of the rack with the top of the ladder...?lol!

That one definitely buckled my knees for a second.[emoji44]

    Tony,
My biggest concern with them is that they can't do paint and body work worth a damn.
A Minion-built small block will bury the competition, but their body work looks more like cement finishing.

I have yet to test their electrical skills.
