Here's another shot of it early on. Such an amazing car with so many awesome yet subtle details everywhere you look.

so is it ok to run those armstrong lever shocks horizontal like he has them mounted? i thought the cylinders needed to be kept verticle.

One of the best coupes to come along lately. Boyd's, Vern Luce coupe, was the hit of the smoothie cars in the 80's and Eric's is the hit in today's climate of traditional cars.

Notice how the Hemi is a little higher in the frame...
Makes for a bigger******* tunnel and a much better looking engine compartment.:)

Here's a plug for one of the The Jalopy Journal / H.A.M.B. Alliance vendors:

All Five Goodguys Hot Rod of the Year Finalists Roll on Coker’s!

Our tires go on some of the coolest hot rods on the planet and we were overwhelmed when we found out ALL FIVE of the Goodguys Hot Rod of the Year finalists are wearing our tires! The Hot Rod of the Year is a highly sought after award given by Goodguys at the Indy Nationals. This year, the field of entries was a tough one, but the judging staff narrowed it down to five deserving finalists with bad-to-the-bone traditional hot rods. The best part of the Hot Rod of the Year program is that the cars must be driven on a street cruise, and run down the drag strip to prove that it’s not just a show car. The five finalists did not disappoint, so keep reading to check ’em out!

    GG-HROTY-Coker.jpg
The 2015 Goodguys Hot Rod of the Year winner was Keith Hill of Bixby, Oklahoma in his sliced and diced ’33 Ford three-window coupe, built by Pinkee’s Rod Shop. The fenderless coupe rolls on a set of our Excelsior tires and one-off wheels that resemble magnesium racing wheels. It is an elegant, yet sinister hot rod that truly deserves the Hot Rod of the Year crown.

Eric and his crew's attention to detail are second to none. I have always admired all the little subtle touches he puts into a build, yet he knows when to say when. Congrats to all involved.

Those are excellent shots from the fairgrounds. Love that car.

Hemi32, I was reading this thread and was ready to post a couple of my shots from GNRS Setup day, but as I scrolled down, I see you beat me to the punch! Thanks. Those nine are all I have so I edited one of my favorites to B & W. DSC_4056.jpg

I love that NOTHING is is below scrub line, very unusual on a 33-34 ford.
    Great car !!!!

  21. The wheels don't do it for me but the rest of the car is pretty damn******in'. Congrats on the award.

What a beautiful piece of work. Eric and his crew leave no detail that is not thought through. I am crazy about the custom air cleaners they just make the beautiful Hemi. TEB

Thanks, seatex. The good news is that he was driving the car around so I got a variety of different angles; the bad news is that the car was moving the whole time! Worked out pretty good, though, thanks to a fast shutter.

    @podunk /@Keith Hill -

    Thanks for chiming in!

With such a******in' traditional-styled Hot Rod, I figured you must be a HAMBer. :D

Any chance you & your "Federale Coupe" will be making the trek west again this August (i.e., attending the GGs West Coast Nats in Pleasanton) ???

I think they would be a lot better looking if the windows were larger.
