I'm still interested in the 58 Buick four door if its up for sale. My dad lives a little past Bellingham and I could have him take a look at it for me ... let me know. Might be interested in an 62 or older wagon if you have any of those.
I shot you a PM with my Email. I rechecked your pictures, but didn't see a Ford wagon in any of them. The Rambler isn't something I would be interested in. Plus here in Washington I wont purchase anything without a clean title ... huge hassle to deal with no paper work, went down that road once years ago.
Sorry for your loss. Nice hoard! Old trucks are pretty popular even patina-ed ones. If it runs try selling it, even if it doesn't someone might buy it. Cool father and son project.
I keep this is a long shot, but there was a thread on here with a list of the best states to register a car, despite tittle issues. Then reach out to car clubs in the areas, asks them to register the car with all the original paperwork, and sign over the car to you. Maybe sell them the car for 5$, and buy them back for 50$. Then the can hold a small HAMB friendly party, and you can sell your cars (mainly on the HAMB), and all are happy. And if your car don't title, sell them as parts cars. And despite its not Arizona cars they should be damn nice, to people from Upstate New York, or Scandinavia, and we need a tittle, but don't care for how old! [emoji2][emoji6]
The Dodge D200 should sell for more than scrap. There is a truck forum for those years. http://www.sweptline.org/forums/ Even if you sold it to someone in that group at scrap price it would go to someone who appreciates it and parts could be used.
It's funny to hear how tough titles are to get in Washington. Over here in Montana, titles are easy peasy. We had to clean up after my great uncle who was a hoarder, though his pile was on a smaller scale. The car pile is sure cool! Are the parts generally for the same cars that were collected or for different stuff?
Heck, NY we don't even need the title. All you can do is go one or two at a time, clean them up a little and post them for sale.
Rowrycoracing, how are you selling listing the cars? Is it ebay or trader magazines? Can you provide ebay user name or other info so we can follow along and maybe buy some of your inventory. Not trying to make this into a for sale thread.
Why not ? That '63 Olds Dynamic is badass. I think every HAMB'er worth his bones would want a crack at such a stash. At the least ... one good point in the right directions would be plenty. Please (??), ... and thank you !
So far it has just been by word of mouth except the old Dodge truck which went on the local craigslist. Some guys from the local car club figured out I was hauling these home slowly so now they check in as soon as I unearth each one. The last 4 I have brought home the club guys show up within an hour or less. One club guy says he wants to buy all the cars but he hasn't hit me with a dollar amount yet. A local wrecking yard also said they want them all and they are supposed to make me an offer in a couple of weeks after they finish looking them over. So my plan for now (unless a fair offer for them all does come in) is to just keep digging them out one by one, get the titles figured out for each one and Then I will start listing them for sale probably here and on eBay. There is a ton of parts too (cool old vacuum tube car radios, gauges, trim, switches, lots of 50's hood ornaments and such) that I will just store away for now and put on eBay later. I will put a note on here when I put one up for sale. That Olds survivor and a couple of real nice 66 t birds are coming home next I think. When I was hauling that caddy home I stopped twice on the way and it drew a crowd both times. And both times someone wanted to buy it on the spot. I didn't want to sell it quite yet though. When I got home I wanted to see if it would turn over. I put in a battery and it turned over just fine. So I gave it a splash of gas down the carb and a snort of ether. It fired right up after sitting since at least 1990, probably longer than that. Drove it around the lawn and it drives fine. Ha! These old cars were built to last...
Appreciate the heads up, Im not close enough to ask for a stop by visit and make offers. I don't need another car, but you know how that goes, these look like really good ones, with minimal rust, I'll be watching.
