    In regards to registration...

Please send in your registration info. We will put you on a waiting list. We all know that things happen and it leads to people not making the event. For example, someone could detonate their hemi in June, or someone could bite off more than they can chew and their little girl mustang could still be home sitting on it's car lift...

All joking aside, work might get in the way for some folks, there will be family events that come up and sometimes cars have issues.

We are going to see how many cancellations we had next week and see how many of the "waiting list" can be officially invited.

    Hope that helps.

Might not be so fuzzy lol ;)

Would measuring diameter with a dial calipers work?

  7. I use the calipers when that magnifying glass I beat my 93 year old mother n law out of doesn't magnify enough.

  8. This place has pistons for a reasonable price, wonder how these magnesium rocker arms work o_O

My pride took a sizeable beatin' on that one too Marcus.
The lump probably looked something like a cross between one of those T-Bolt scoops, and a hairy map of Illinois ,but thankfully, there were no witnesses present at the time to verify the configuration of the aforementioned skull trauma.lol!

I'm just glad it didn't wallop me like Dwight Yoakem getting smoked with that lawnmower blade by Billy Bob Thornton in the final scene of Sling Blade....lol!

Is anyone going to do any S/S grundge racing. I think it would be fun to set up a class for S/S styled cars to run eachother in.

That would be a ton of fun!

I'm running small block power, but it's gonna be pretty healthy this year:D

The S/S class was a bit light last year,so hopefully more people will drag out their S/S style cars and make a big production out of it:)

  17. To answer your question in one word: YES!
There always has been a S/S class at the Meltdown Drags, and we put the appropriate cars in it.
Bring your Super Stock to Byron this July and get in on the fun.

  18. Can you use the new style Freon or whatever its called? I was thinking of rrunning one of those old under dash factory add on units from the sixties cars and mount it behind my seat in my coupe and run all ductwork/lines etc thru the tunnel. I think I can make an aircon set up work from misc. parts a lot cheaper than a Vintage air set up....apparently that is what you have in mind ...yes? I could use any and all info you would like to share on the subject.... Thanks,Liner

I think my Bel Air will fall in the S/S class.
Not sure what kind of time's it will turn I think I still have a large learning curve on this one.

134a? Sure...but I have a case of cans of R12 that I bought over 20 years ago, so I'm planning to use some of them instead. I also have an NOS Sanden compressor for R12. I'm kind of piecing it all together, I had to buy a compressor bracket and hose kit, I need to find some lower pulleys, and other than that I think I have enough stuff to do it.

  21. I would rather run the old stuff it is worth a fortune these days it seems... I must check it out at the Meltdown, are you camping there? I will pull in Friday and prolly camp on the north end of the track this year...somewheres

Personally I would build one to use the 134A you can get expansion valves for it and put in a high capacity
condenser with plenty of cooling for it then if you are on the road and have a problem with it you can fix and get freon to fill it up.

134a would be the smart way to go, you can buy it at walmart. I'm staying at a hotel, but the suburban should be around the drags all weekend...come take a looksee!

    Dear Jeff:

We will be having an addition to the tail light panel this year.

The lovely and talented Miss Cassandra Hicks was kind enough to pattern these closely after the ones that Mickey Thompson put on his trailer back around 1969.....You get the honor of being first!lol!
