The car got a nice reception in Des Moines. Many thanks to Steve Marx & Bob Duchan and everyone else that had a hand in this latest 7 year project. The Chopped & Dropped pick. The Boss says that I must post a picture of the "BEFORE" version. Bob K said: ↑ Thanks, I was gonna post a picture of how it used to look but thought you might kill the whole thread and ban me for life. BB Post a before or your banned! From The Desk Of Ryan Cochran So here it is in all it's glory, a full on 1980's/ 1990's street rod. Please be aware that this car was built between 1988 and 1992. I only joined the HAMB in 1997 and got edumacated. BB
Congratulations Bob,that car is beautiful and as mentioned above we know you drive them hard,I won't take too many years to rack up 250,000 miles for a guy like you. HRP
Congratulations Bob, I have to say that is a very awesome looking Chevy you have built. Now, rack up the miles on it like you have the convertible.
Bob, Ya know what they say on the H.A.M.B.; it ain't so without pix. Well, I've heard about this car for a looooong time and finally it appears that you've proven that it really does exist. Congrats and good on you. And the only important question: "Is sweetie happy?" Oh, yeah; well done on the headlights (a**** the many well done touches). Too many cars with Frenched headlights look like they have a big funnel pointed backwards around the lights. And the painted grill surround adds a touch of subtle cl***. Did I mention that '46 is my favorite year of post-war Chevys? Excellent plan and excellent execution. Many folks think that to make a custom you just add doo-dads and gewgaws until it's ugly. Thanx for your careful restraint.
Congrats Bob!! Well deserved on a great car that we all know sees serious miles....the truest test of an awesome car in my books.
Congrats Bob! I loved the car at Cobo and am glad to see you starting to pile the miles on it. I missed hanging out with you at the Vintage Torque fest this year. .
A big congrats for you Bob. I just have one question when do we get to ride along on your next trip. I loved the Alaskan trip.
That's a great looking car you've got yourself there. I'd be bragging about it too. Congrats and outstanding job!
Nice looking car!!!....very slick, and that color is a real standout on that body style.....totally cool ride!
Thanks, I was gonna post a picture of how it used to look but thought you might kill the whole thread and ban me for life. BB
Here's a picture of Bob cruising the fairgrounds in Des Moines and another one after my wife chased him down to tell him how much we enjoyed reading about his trip to Alaska on the H.A.M.B. Congratulations on the car Bob and it was nice to meet you!
