I've got a few hundred miles on it now working bugs out of it. Time to go to upholstery and get the hood put on it.
I'm waiting for my paint guy to recover from heart valve replacement he underwent in December. Gives me a little more time to decide what color to shoot on it. My wife and I have already changed color preferences several times so maybe by May or June we will have a handle on it. We've already tossed around white, pearl white, yellow, metallic orange, dark blue, dark root beer, and just leaving it alone. We're not completely traditional. Suggestions anyone?
About wore out the flathead vibe in the last 20 years, so going for an early '60s thing with the car transitioning from a post war traditional to '6os chic (with a couple cheats).................
GREAT THREAD!! MY EX WIFE ONCE SAID THAT SHE DID NOT LIKE DEUCE ROADSTERS OR 40 FORD COUPES. I SURE MISS HER LASAGNE!
Here's mine, not a Henry steel but a Ravon from '95. It's running and a blast to drive. Can't wait for the 327 to be finished that I'm going to put in it. It also has a Muncie 4 speed.
My original beater '32 finished in 2008. '57 283, '39 box w/25 tooth gear set, Columbia 2-speed, Lincoln brakes, original top irons cut to the 3" chopped windshield, bent spokes and bias ply Firestones. Tom took this shot at the 2015 LARS and posted it on his blog. My apology if this is a violation. His shots of the show are without compare and his angles are always right on.
Tweety, I was looking at the early photos of this so cool love the standard 40 dash that's what mine has!
