Too bad they don't put these type hood ornaments on cars anymore.[/QUOTE] then buy one and mount it on your nissan. my dad did that on his 2006 Chevy hhr.
Show some 'before' pics of the buried cars. That's incredible that there's so much piled on the cars that you don't know what they are. Are you also finding spare parts, engines, etc. stashed in with the cars?
What is the total count of cars/trucks that you have 'discovered' so far? ...The neighbor that saw the scrap thieves should have said on the phone that "I can see that they are carrying guns".... that usually perks up the LEO's interest!
A change of pace from showing the car recovery photos. I have 9 of them running and driving now. Spent a few hours showing my son how to make a radiator fan shroud for another. Not bad at all for a beginner.
Built a cover for part of the engine bay in my son's Audi Coupe while messing with the metal working tools.
A little closer in pic of the lettering will help. From the paint and patina it looks like it has been that way a very long time. Someone can't spell.
That's actually pretty funny ... I probably wouldn't have noticed even if I was standing in front of it.
And how many tons of treasure? When you started this, it seemed like there was no end to the chore ahead of you but by just starting and approaching it as multiple chores it is getting done. Just like a real live treasure hunt!
that is an amazing collection of cars and trucks have always loved the 53, 54 mercs amazing I never noticed this thread earlier glad to see a fellow H.A.M.B'er in the neighbor hood. the pic of the caddy on the trailer is just down the street from were I work. good luck with the clean up.
We hired a clean up crew of 4 guys who brought along two ten yard dump trailers. Trying to speed up progress since this is just one of three properties he had and all are a complete mess. I am tired out doing all this myself. In the last couple of days that crew plus my wife and I moved another 5 tons of garbage out. And FINALLY you can see a path from one end of the building to the other and we can inventory all the cars inside. Big step. Big big step. Here are just a few of the cars.
