    he is thrilled, he had a smile a mile wide, and spent the evening showing the car off and telling stories.

    thanks Danny, the pictures Mark posted is the way the car looked when everybody showed up.......the front bumper was on [loosely] , cooler empty and a pile of empty plates when everybody left.:D:cool:

    installed the filler panels under the fenders tonight and tightened the front bumper. DSCF4229.JPG

    installed all the nuts, washers and locks for the running board covers. i debated wether i should have put something under them. they have lots of paint but i thought maybe tar paper? gasket material, spray grease? dum-dum?
    thoughts?

    seal out dirt? cushion the pad? protect the paint?.......thats the question.

    i did not put any thing, but there was remnants of some sort of thin material when i took it apart. hard to tell if it helped or hurt, it had been there since '33.

    put the cowl and grill shell welting on and started hooking up the head light wires.

    i also stapled the top canvas down and trimmed it to the opening, then i glued the foam padding to it. DSCF4231.JPG

    i will have to clean my hands for the final top material, the upholsterer dropped off tonight. white! DSCF4235.JPG DSCF4232.JPG
    also put the tail lights in. these are still the ones my dad installed when he built it.
