I took 526 images. I am trying to figure out which method of uploading is best. They are not
all HAMB vehicles, so I was thinking of uploading to Photobucket and just link the page to
the HAMB. If I get enough time, I may separate the HAMB cars and post only those here.
I will use the large image option though as opposed to thumbnails.

    Stay tuned,
    VR&C.

The owner of this truck is a Disabled Vietnam Veteran, a Marine. The placard tells the story, I was honored to add my name and the name of a fellow "Dover Dragstrip" alumnus "Little Frankie Azzarito lost his life in Vietnam in 1968. Even though we never met he was at the track at the same times I was there and was in the 1st. Cav. as I was but a year earlier.

The chopped red 34 (I think) with a 32 grille shell had a Caddy motor. They were doing a photo shoot for a magazine behind the building I was in, so I took advantage of the opportunity.

  20. I did well enough there, sold more than last year which I'd forgotten was really slow. Friday was so busy I could hardly get away to go to the can. Had Gene Winfield as a customer, somebody hit him up for an autograph in the middle of that. No really big ticket sales, though. In fact, thank goodness I had Hot Wheels to sell as those went fast.

By the time things slowed down on Saturday afternoon and on Sunday it was just too hot, even with the ability to borrow a golf cart I didn't want to go very far.

Did anyone else see this rolling abortion of cut up Hudson Terraplane body parts stuck on some kind of late diesel truck chassis? They had to widen it and set the body higher over the fenders, and widen the fenders, then for some reason the body was cut at the B-post and had a hump in it like putting the rear body on was an afterthought - and that even had a door only one one side that looked like the builder made it instead of just using a sedan door. I don't know how many beers it took to conceive this one but it must have been quite a few. All the stretching and widening ruined the proportions of the car.
