Just got back from Kent CT. They had a very nice event today. Lots of nice cars and a great place to visit. Plenty of shops and good restaurants. Even though it looked like it was going to rain any minute when we left it turned out to be near perfect. Here are some photos for your viewing pleasure!
Lots of stuff going on in town and everything open. This cost nothing to get in for cars or spectators. Nice goody bag given and lots of trophies. Also, many door prizes for entrants. Just a good night all around. Thanks to the organizers and the Kent town businesses for a very nice event. Best of Show Dog! And My Bride won Best Hot Rod! Man am I lucky!
Thanks for sharing. It's fun to see what others are doing with their cars/ trucks in other parts of the good ol USA.
A few more shots! I think that is it. I know I missed some nice cars but will get them next time. One more of my wife with some old guy!
Mark, you and your lovely bride look like your having a great time and the setting looks like a great little town. and I really like the innovative thinking on this Model A sedan. HRP
Yes it is a nice town anytime of the year. That A sedan had some neat stuff. I wanted to get a shot of the back closed up but did not get it done. We will be back down your way soon!
looks like a great little home town show, my favorite kind, no rules, no trophies, just fun. Thanks for posting. I can remember back in the 50s going through Kent on my way to my grandparents in Trumbull from our home in NY.
I would have gone had I seen a listing on it ..my bad, where was it listed?..Pics show a pleasant day..I go to the Antique Machinery show in Kent most every year, a little farther north on rt 7 is Kent Falls, worth a look while in the area..
Thanks for the pictures. I'm going to put this one on my list of shows to see, it's close enough for me. Pat
Wonder if the streets of Kent ever saw the son of a famous car maker touring through in a V8 powered Speedster on the weekends while attending the Hotchkiss School in Lakeville? Bob
Hi Mark: Thanks for the photos of the Kent show. It looks like it was a very nice and intimate event. Are those live roosters on the hay bales in the back of that sweet Chevy pickup! Nice touch! TEB
I can see you asking about the roosters from photos. No they were not real. A woman at the show however asked if they were real Glad you liked the photos. MB
