    Seems like Andy's car lot was a regular stop for us on a Friday night when we headed to the 'Valley'.
    He had some neat stuff there. Early sixties.

    Interesting background on how this car became a roadster. Although some teams cut the roofs off in interest of less weight and better aero (Melrose Missile for example) the Canuck story was a little different. It seems that Dale had a bad transmission explosion and the shrapnel tore the roof up to the point where it was easier to cut it off rather than repair it.
    I have not seen the story in print anywhere but a guy that roomed with Dale at the time told me about it a couple of years ago.

    Actually a Griffith 200, Tommy. Built by TVR in Blackpool, England. Very much like a Cobra underneath with a tube chassis and independent rear suspension. Fiberglass body and most were Triumph straight six powered but the US distributor had them build some for small block Ford power. Records show that 192 of them were built with the original style body as seen in the photo.
