    I'm sure it will be cool no matter what color it turns out.

    Dan the man! Thanx for the extra views of the Allard. I'd so much love to have one of these, but I can't even afford a clone. Gary

    Thanks Ranchero59 and FourtyDLX. Your welcome Gary. It was a great car to see. I wish I would have been able to get better shots of it.

    You're very welcome and thanks Dick. I forgot the details of what your 54 has for a drive train, but I think it would have qualified for the actual run up the hill.

    You're very welcome Nobey and Robber. Thanks for your positive comments. Robber - Once I get a bunch of them done, I will try to get some more artistic versions and finess the ones I have already - like that Allard image . It was cool to see one actually out running.

    Dan...
    Great shots, not sure why I like this car so much;) but your photos make it feel like I'm standing right next to the cars.
    Been watching this event from afar and get more revved up every year I see coverage.
    Couple of questions;
    Thought you could tell me if Saturdays event (hill climb) could be a one day trip and back from Golden, as has been mentioned earlier, lodging around Georgetown appears limited.
    I'm thinking about coming next year(fly in to DVR) and stay with in-laws in Golden, wife visited there last month and has been trying to talk me into going with her next year.
    She doesn't know it yet but I don't think she will have to twist my arm too hard now.
    Also wondering if two ladies could keep themselves occupied all day in Georgetown as I
    think looking at a bunch of rusty old hot rods would get a little old for them.
    Again, thanks for the great coverage, but I'm really jones'n to see this event first hand.
    If you don't want to post on thread and you don't mind PMing me that would be cool too.

    Thanks Doug.
    Golden would be a very easy trip to Georgetown. I went both days from my house which is approximately 40 miles southeast of Golden. Both days I left early and it took me an hour and 5 to 10 minutes - portal to portal. Golden is much closer to it than I am. I drive across the entire city of Denver and some suburbs just to get to Golden. People leaving later in the day would have had more difficulty do to highway work on I-70. As for the wives, I'm not sure. There are a couple of museums and quite a few little shops, and the loop railroad but Georgetown is not that big. If you came in 2 cars so they could go back to Golden when they wanted it might work. Friday - probably would not be a problem if you went on the reliability run. I followed the cool cars on that and it was a great ride that went all over.
