I picked up a 54 mainline recently all stock 223 3 speed with overdrive , someone had added lakepipes and Starburst caps and looks to have had some dummy spots at one time ! Since I bought it I have lowered it (aerostar springs in the front 3'' blocks in the rear ) shaved the emblems and shaved the trunk . I also narrowed the grill 10 3/4'' and and working on frenching the taillights (mooneyes kit with 50 Pontiac lights in them ) I have some 53 ford headlight rings to do the headlights . Also plan on Lincoln door ****ons and drop spindles and dearched springs in the near future !! day I picked it up.jpg

Nice ride! Digging on the swamp cooler those things are bringing some cash these days so don't leave it parked where you can't keep an eye on it thieves have been grabbing those even at car shows. If you can find the grille surround trim from a '55 you can use that on your '54.

    Looks awsome.
Not judging anything. Its your car, you do what on earth and beyond you like with it. I'm just curious as to why you use those vertical bumper parts on the back and not on the front.

I said that 'cause I'de like to take those parts off in my car, but the front bumper is so beat up that is ****s. So I kept them up front and took them off in the back. A little detail but in my mind I have a bulkier front and a slicker back.

    Looking awsome elnutty.
OT on your frenching work, but were the lake pipes funcional? Straight from the exhaust manifold or through a muffler?
