Built a 64 Falcon Futura HT with a warmed up 427 and an Alston full tube ch***is. Nasty little ride with unbelievable tire plant. Even with a 10 point cage it would twist the windshield opening till the gl*** pulled far enough out of the rubber to see light through. My partner had a 67 Cyclone GT with the single 4bbl 427 that was a strong runner.
An Alston full tube ch***is would twist enough to seperate the gl*** from the seal??? You need to get your money back. The Wizzard
A 63 block will read c3ae but impossible to tell if 427 , unless it is cross bolted , if not crossbolted measuring the bore is the only way

Just bear in mind that FE blocks had tapped holes in the side of the block that can be mistaken for cross-bolt holes. These were for block-mounting fixtures used for ***embly and weren't drilled through the block's side skirt, but a good machine shop can drill out the holes and bore into/thread the main caps. So, as the others noted, check casting numbers, bore/stroke, whether solid- or hydraulic-lifter, and other little clues for the oiling system (oil filter adapter, for instance).
Thx for the info , my engine has bolt that appear to be the cross drilled mains and also bolt holes above those which could be the holes you described . I'm going to post some pics tomorrow and see what people think . You mentioned the oil adapter what's the deal with that
c3ae 6015 indicates = 63 Large body/Galaxy -the 4th letter (E) indicates engine/accessories -(E stands for Engine/and/or/engine related part/***emblies). It came from a 1963 Galaxie 500XL. Check your bore for actual displacement. .
