I am keeping up with the Jonses. Well that and wondering how many are out there. I'll start with my not registered since '62 sedan, hopefully it won't always be a survivor but it is today more or less like they left it. Ok fellas lets have fun with this one.
I found this one a few years ago about two miles from home......Was the guy's high school car. Had to let it go to finish <<<<<<<<<<avatar....... JunkYardKid turned it in to a beauty!
I wish I had something to offer,I have always liked Model A's and cut my hot rod teeth with a Model A pickup, followed with a 29 sedan and my 3rd Model A was a Vicky. Does my 4 door Model A yard art qualify? HRP
I'm a Jones '31 SW Cabby was a true unmolested barn find. I believe this qualifies as a survivor. I threw in a battery and gas some air in the tires and drove it up onto the trailer. I just built the motor so I'd be hard to keep up with and added '35 wheels Larry
Here's another I came across......New tire's came with it. Painted the wheels, and done! Took it to Paso with a 6500 $ # on it,and people balked loudly! Registered with original title, and ran like a "Swiss" watch.......
Rolling billboard for a local Servants for hire service. If you can get up close enough to it ( I could make the pics work if I still had photoshop) it says, babysitters, nannys (nannies), cooks, valets, maids, yard work and a couple others I can't remember right now. I am thinking that it will probably run this way for the first few miles while I store up enough cash for the next step. Unfortunately it will not remain a "survivor" I hope. When I first joined the HAMB there was a guy I worked with that had a '31 Rumble seat car that he had driven home and took the fenders off and that was as far as he got. he bought it from a farmer and the only rust was in the rumble floor from hauling chickens, still in original and oxidized paint. he was asking 1200 for it, I had 1200 hundred and offered him full price for it, he turned it down and sold it a week later to a guy for 900. I had mentioned juice brakes when we were talking and he said he would rather give it to someone who wouldn't ruin it then sell it to me. By the way some of you guys are making me real jealous and @HOTRODPRIMER looks like it is surviving really well as yard art.
I found this Girl last year less than 30 miles from home.. 58,888 MILES A few days later when it had warmed up to minus 18, she asked me for attention. And just a few days after that.. .......She wanted to go for a drive ...Click thumb for video? And watch the speedo hit 58,900 miles
My grandpa's second car. Traded a Model T for this 31 Deluxe Tudor in 1937. Painted and reupholstered in the 50s before being parked in the barn in 1959. Dad did a mechanical restoration in the 80s, still roadworthy. Fenders were painted with Rustoleum when it was restored, still has the original headliner even. Matching numbers car. Came with an incomplete 30 Fordor that is even more solid.
My survivor A. I bought it in '04. It had bent spoke Kelsey's on it. Last tagged in California 1968. It had a painted gold 40 V8, 39 box, and cross steer. It is waiting in line. Now it's just hanging around.
my 29 Business coupe ,Bought from a farmer in Lovelock,Nevada paid $400.00 in 1975 serial numbers matching frame & engine . I added Hydraulic Brakes , 12volt alternator and F-1 Steering box.
I think this one could be considered a survivor. Its all original but I believe it was redone back in the 60s. I know it has been repainted. I didn't really want to buy it at the time but it kept calling me to save it.
