If it's still there, they have an awesome coe. I have to apologize, there was one I forgot to mention, and I think you drove around it when you took the old route66 to San Jon. Russel's truck stop at the first I40 exit in NM from the Texas border. 20 or so outstanding cars always on display, and it's free.

Spent last night in Grants Nm. The WYFI didn't work, tonight we are in Holbrook AZ. Dead tired after stumbling around the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest today, post car pictures a little later.

Went out to the blue hole in Santa Rosa in the mourning yesterday, all I can say is, It's blue and it's a hole. People SCUBA dive in it.

Then went back to Bozo's museum, there's about 30 cars and it's nicely done.

Then we hit the road. We went past a rock formation called the owl .

DSCF3567.JPG on a long lonesome section of Historic 66 and ended up at the Sands Motel in Grants.

Across the Continental divide in to Arizona and to the Painted Desert and Petrified forest, Historic 66 runs through the park.

Man, I could spend a week in an old yard like that. All that kind of yard went to the crushers here years ago. Just as well though, as the acid rain eats them away here nowadays.

Yep, in Santa Rosa just down the street from Bozo's car collection. And the Coe is a work of art.

It's in Moriarty and I've learned it's part of Bozo's collection, it's called the Lewis Antique auto and toy museum .

We tried to get a room in Selegman tonight but the place was booked up by tour busses and quite frankly a mad house so we had dinner at the Road Kill Café and zoomed to Kingman on I 40. We will double back in the mourning and drive the historic route tomorrow.

Great shots, thanks for posting. Nice to see a Caddy guy wearing a Ford tee shirt.
Twenty seven years ago before my wife and I got married, we were on a weekent to Vegas from Colorado. We pulled up at a stop sign in the middle of the night in downtown Winslow, I looked in my rearview mirror, nothing coming, jumped out of the car, ran across the street and just stood on the corner. Connie yelled "what are you doin'?"

Texas 57 writes "Nice to see a Caddy guy wearing a Ford tee shirt." I'm a Ford guy that owns a Caddy.
Started retirement with the notion of restoring one 1957 Cadillac because when I was a kid I thought they were the neatest thing since sliced bread. Now that that's almost over I've got a few fords to finish. I think I can do all of them for what I spent on the Cad.

We doubled back to Selegman today to drive the historic section of 66 to Kingman. The terrain goes from wide meadows to craggy and rocky cliffs, there are a few land marks and historic stop overs along the way. Someone put up replicas f the old bermashave signs along this section of road.

If you have a business along 66 you need a bunch of rusty old cars to display out front.
