Came home today to find my Son in Law had parked the trailer in the driveway. Time to fill it, nothing major just more of the same stuff that went down last year. Same spots as last year C4J-40-41. You can leave stuff there for the day to save a walk to your car during buying time. This years phantom vehicle will be built out of '27 T Roadster and MACK truck parts. See you there. Bob

I'm in the Orange Field this year. Might bring a car to sell, have some other parts that will make the trip, but tb33anda3rd, you said Duesy parts (!) and have my eyes/ears perked up. If you like you can PM me with what you have. We're into a 29 J Murphy Roadster and lots of small stuff has gone astray.

Will be there Wed-Fri with Gabby, his son, and my buddy John from LI. We will have a spot in the Orange field to call home. I am mostly there to buy but I have some 32 5-window parts for sale here that I can deliver if intetested ...

I am jealous. I need to make it a goal to make it to that meet. I have wanted to go since the early 80's when my dad and grandpa started going. Only issue is Wyoming is along way away and My wallet is always empty. HAHA. Have fun everyone!!

I'll have a HAMB sign in board so you can see who was there and who you missed. Grandson is pumped up for the event, you should have seen him loading the leftovers from yesterday! He's THREE years old. I think the hobby will be in good hands. Bob

I told my son in law I was going to put prices on all the parts this year. He can sell ice to Alaskans, and likes to hang around the space. Bob

Next best thing to the real thing is Hershey!!! One thing Ive found is you better have LOTS of change or small bills ready to go.Sellers love it when you have the smaller stuff,it helps them out in the next sales and you can be on to the next buy quicker. If there is one tip I can send out it is this:

Dont screw around,be prepared.Move fast if you want to cover as much as possible.I write things down such as item and space # then go back if possible later.BUT,If you want it--BUY IT I have been dissapointed too many times thinking the part will still be there the next day..NO Most vendors will let you stash your goodies at their space till later in the day pickup.Thats why I go solo,I have a proven method that works real good for me and I always come home with tons of stuff.

This year is my 46th year in a row at Hershey, and I'm sure others will have shopping tips. It is an AACA event but there are lots of HAMB members out there as vendors, we used to post a list here with space numbers, we're at C4J 40-41 on the corner of Main Street, Brookville is my next door neighbor. Every lamp post has a number, use that to remember were stuff is. It really saves time to just buy stuff and keep walking, arrange to stash heavy stuff for evening pick up, going back to your parked car/truck mid day is a bad move. Bring funds, but there are ATM's within walking distance. Food on the field is good. Bring clothing for all types of weather, and a hand cart/wagon. Bob

I went to my first one 29 years ago with my parents, who are still going strong with two separate booths. This year will be the second year with my wife and son, and we're also bringing friends. Hey, everyone who needs a place to stay, something we did last year and now are doing again this year because it worked so well, check Air BNB. WAY cheaper than the hotels. Does anyone know if Union C**** House ever opened again after the floods?

i'll be wondering around Saturday, hoping I don't find anything heavy to buy.

Definitely going to have to stop by C4J-40-41, and meet 37Kid.

Most flea market vendors will be gone by Saturday. The last I stayed to vend on a Saturday was at least 10 years ago. I did less than $50 for the day. (Less than $100 for a few years before that) That is after doing over $1000/day the days before. I don't have as much to sell these day so numbers are less these days.
Most head to the car show that is not really near the swap meet area.

Ted, all your stuff is wrapped in shipping blankets and packed in the trailer. This years Phantom Vehicle with have all four of your 1908 Mercedes fenders a '27 T Roadster turtle deck, your chrome Jaguar wire wheels, a '39 Ford Standard grill I got at the Trunk today. The Type 49 Bugatti wood dash will add a bit of cl***, so will the Model A Duesenberg top ***embly. Bob

Just so everyone is up to speed my Phantom Vehicle builds started in 2001. I bought a drop tank on the way in from the guy in front of me as I pulled off the Grantville exit. Added four rusty 19 inch Model A wheels and had a Bonneville car, think it even made a magazine coverage of the event. Every year I build something from the pile of parts I drag down there. Bob
