The original plan was to leave the box standard length and run fenders. I think you guys are right. What's a good amount to chop the windshield so its cool but still keeps the wind out of the eyes? @Dean Lowe i would love to see your old pictures:rolleyes: Thanks

This and Dean Lowe's RPU, are my favorite Fendered Model A RPU's.

I never thought it would have survived all these years.

please post some more information on it...... please.

It is one of the few cars that used a Packard Trans as a great replacement for a Zephyr geared Early Ford box. Much stronger, and the same ratios.

  16. That makes sense. As usual, the reporter left out important facts. Been a victim of that a few times.

^ That's pretty awful. His style really improved over the years.

Rocker77: If I remember right the truck in that form got him the nickname "Jitney Jake".

He still has that camper shell tucked away in one of his garages. I am not quite sure when he acquired the nick name I will ask him next time I see him and see if he remembers. I wanna say It was Roth that gave it to him but I am unsure.

Was the camper shell not on his closed cab pickup for a time as well?

If I remember correctly I want to say yes. His closed cab was/is still one of my favorites.

Mine too. Is it still around?

  29. I just bought a bunch of Brookville parts from a company that was going to build a few cars to promote their business. There was included a complete rolling chassis with 30-31 roadster body and also an extended cab rpu body with a shortened bed. I wanted to see how the rpu would look with fenders so I bolted it together on the chassis. I really like the proportions.
