Here's another neat old feature from Rod Builder & Customizer magazine - Dec. 1956. Bored/stroked Thunderbird power, hand-formed aluminum track nose, and neat rear body treatment.

Now that's my idea of a 50's roadster. Having a 55 Bird with it's Y-Block in place I always wondered as a kid why more guys didn't use this kool combo. It's looks great here!!!!!!

Thanks George! I have plenty more.....
One of the details I like on this one is the Thunderbird scoop on the hood to go with the mill.

Love that one, great hotrod. I tryed to used the stock EX at first also, but didn't find I could fit it like he did, ended up making 90* that just didn't look good to me,so built 4tube headers that I've had to replace a few times over the years. This last set are fabbed by cutting EX flange off SBC headers and welding them to Ford EX flange.
In 1959 I felt very lucky to get used 57 T-bird V8 from a wreck as I was building my own 28A roadster for highschool in 1959. I still have an drive my own. lunchbox thrumiss.jpg

I really love hot rods with hood scoops. The Tony La-Masa '32 is another good one.
