I am looking at putting some Excelsior radial tires on my 32 sedan 500/16's front and 750/16's rear, what is the good the bad any issues with these tires? Or is there something out there equal or better, thanks Mark

You'll have to ask Larry the tyre man......

  3. That is exactly what I plan on running on my Deuce sedan, no issues at all they look cool and handle well from all reports. And of course...this thread is useless without photos !

I've got those sizes of Excelsior's on my 32 roadster and the rears really fill and match the wheel well quite nicely. I've only driven them a few 100 miles but they really drive great. I am changing mine from tubes to tubeless on the advice of a friend who had troubles with tubes going flat. Car has a nice rubber rake.

  6. Well bad is that cost and good is that you can afford them. LOL

I haven't heard anything but good about them if that is any help.

I have them on my 32. Ride is nice, they sing a little going down the road but nothing obnoxious. The look is killer in my opinion. 2015-07-20 16.01.06.jpg 2015-07-20 16.01.06.jpg

I'm running the 5.50x16 and 7.50x16 Excelsior radials and have been very happy with them. About 30k miles so far and counting. Rears will need to be replaced next spring. When it's time to do the fronts, I'll probably go with 5.00s. Also, I'm running about 4 oz. of balancing beads in each rear tire. They run smooth as glass at any speed... even a continuous 90+mph.
