I'm sure this subject has been discussed in the p***ed however I thought I would ask a question concerning my build. I'm in the process of building a 3o coupe and want to mount it on 32 rails. My concern is obtaining a specific stance. I want the car to set low vs. the traditional high boy stance. I would like the rear of the coupe slightly higher than the front. As for suspension I'm planning on triangular 4 bar rear with coil overs. As for the front I plan on using a 4" drop axle with bones. I also like the tall rear tires.

Can I obtain a low stance without having to channel the body over the frame? I ***ume the frame would be "C" notched front and back. The Shadow Rod Frame seems to provide the stance I'm looking for but would like to know if others are available?

If you meen having a frame built for you, most custom ch***is builders will ask you to submit specific info. such as tire and wheel diameters, widths, and offsets, to maintain your objectives.
An original frame may require too many mods for your expectations wthout a channel.
Another popular mod. is to pinch the deuce frame at the firewall area, this will help it match the narrower body of the Model A.
One shop that has a very distinctive frame style for your needs is:
Hot Rods And Custom Stuff, they are in Escondido, Ca. (San Diego).
They build a frame that has a pretty upswepped section in the front, that, and a c-notched rear will give you the desired stance you are talking about.
Some people don't like it because it strays from the "traditional" (and beautiful) shape of an original deuce frame.
A google image search should produce plenty of examples, but I would check out their website first.
Sounds like some cool ideas, keep us updated on your projects' progress.

Why channel it that defeats the purpose of using the 32 frame.

Find pictures of several Model A's on '32 frames that have the stance you desire. THEN figure out how to attain the stance. There are many possibilities. Then select the method which fits your desires best. Good luck!

There should be a number of fine examples right here on the hamb. Use the search function for model A's on '32 frames, or some variation of that.

From the day it was finished, Ron Wilson's black roadster was about my all-time favourite Australian hot rod, and that was long time (decades) ago!

That's a great looking roadster. Can you tell me more about the frame a suspension set up you have?

Original poster appears to not want to channel it.
However, Model A s need to be channeled an inch to look any good. Otherwise they just sit on top of ch***is.

Great looking build, thanks for detail. Looking at the picture of your roadster I thought it must have been "z" to get that low in the rear. I was hoping to avoid having to "z" but it may be necessary.

I agree, those that I have seen look good when channeled a small amount. I'm trying to save as much interior room as possible but will not give up on stance and looks. Thanks for your reply

Thought I would update folks on my 30 coupe project. Just returned to VA from Cornfield Customs in ****ord , Ohio. Had the coupe fitted with a custom 32 ch***is. I was really impressed with the build since I had a specific stance I was hoping to achieve, they nailed it.

I don't know. I don't see any channel on this one, and it looks pretty good to me.
