i like the dog dish look, too. i had a '66 with a 352 and hated the lousy gas mileage. i'd have put something more modern, economical and powerful in it!
Option #1 gets my vote. It just screams 60's super stock, which I am partial to. Very clean truck either way! Not a Ford but perhaps some inspiration...
Going with Alchemy and the Supermod...wait, isn't that a BBC powered car? I'd try an Ivory wheel color.
Numero 3, but with these 60 Ford dog dish as shown in the photo but please don't mix rims, it looks feo.
#3 if that's only those choices. Got to keep the lug nuts dry. I hate it when they rust on to the studs. Or get 4 mags like in #1.
My order of preference: A) Keep looking for the E-Ts to match the rears B) Chrome reverse all around C) Option #3
OPTION #3! Oh, and highly regard Helmuth Bros.' suggestion. A more subtle approach to that Great Stance can be achieved with a simple reversing of the eyes up front. Of course, that would entail disconnecting axle, shocks, and springs; then replacing the main leaves! ...Whilst you're at it, those leaves should be cleaned, painted, and plastic sliders inserted...Oh, and clean & paint the axle, drag link, and tie rod. (Spindles were already cleaned with the disc brake retro?)
Steel wheels and caps. You can change the color once in awhile and give it a different look for cheap.
Like you said, you already know the answer... The body colored steelies with dog dish caps. Looks great that way!
Steel wheels, no caps, chrome lug nuts and dust covers. The steel wheel/mag combo is cool too (that's what I run on my car) but the mags belong in the front.
